Would there be interest in a webmaster gathering that was family-oriented? A lot of the people in the online adult business have families, and we treat the conventions a lot like vacations.

So would it be a good idea to have a show, with certain ground rules like no drugs, no public nudity, no drunken and lude behavior... maybe someplace that we could bring our spouses and children and....

It's a tad bit different when you are talking about a 30 or 40 something guy and his 70 year old mother, VS. a family bringing along their 12 year old son. I think that if it became big news some child welfare people would *attempt* to take kids away from their parents. It would be a nightmare.

I do not know why I am even supporting this, I hardly even have a family anymore...

The ones that are alive do not even really love me, just need me to insure that they see my daughter once in a while. Daughter was taken by my Ex-wife many years ago along with a court battle that lasted two years.

I lost my daughter cause I am in adult entertainment biz. That fact didnt settle with the court to well.

I think if the convention focus was to do business, it could work. No one has to be having sex or have almost naked girls around or it being like one big frat party to talk business. I think also thats why most of the world doesnt take us seriously as a business. We dont present ourselves as businesspeople, the current focus shows us as perverts and boys who never grew up, who found away to make a living from their disease lol.

However, there are issues that our families must ultimately deal with, and where better for them to meet and share experiences than a convention? I think the "women who love men who film teen girls" seminar would be fascinating.

Better yet, let's scrap the traditional convention classes and really cut to the burning issues of today's webmasters. With classes like:

on dialers: "How to launder your international dialer money"

VIP: And the by-invitation for-big-dogs-only "If you need to come to this class, you're not as big as you think"

We will always have a bad name as "businessmen" if we are seen as doing the same sort of objectionable stuff at industry conventions as we put in content. People may never respect us anyhow, but if we can't separate business and sex, we look bad.

Actually, I don't think it would be such a bad idea if the family joins us after the convention is over and then it's 'everyone on their best behaviour' kind of gathering.

I'm sure my son would love to meet the people who make me crack up in front of the computer. He'd take one look at [Labret] and ask if he could get the tatoos - he'd look at pictures of SleazyDream on the lawn tractor and try to convince me we need one of those for the 2X2 foot grass in the yard. While I don't ever see the idea of bringing the kids along a good idea because of the nature of the biz. Unless we all learned to talk in code like we do at home lol.

I don't see why there's never a convention without all the "male fun" going on.

I see naked women everyday, couples fucking etc and the last thing I want to do when I go to talk business is the same thing.

A vacation from the "hardcore side" of the biz would be nice. Somewhere that couples could go together, (no, not a swingers party guys) learn and teach about the biz and network with others. Afterall a business convention is supposed to be somewhere to conduct business not get lapdances right lol Seems they are conducted more like college parties.

Although I don't think I've ever saw them advertised as "Adult Webmaster BUSINESS Conventions" but rather "Adult Webmaster Conventions" I guess the question here is what is the purpose of these conventions, business right? If so then why all the "male antics" If not, carry on boys

So if it's for business, a more softer biz approach would be great. If it's just a "vacation", somewhere to go and party, then by all means call in the strippers.
