yep, thats what happens when you have way more supply than demand. Its so bad now that most submitters PAY to give away their free galleries (payed spot listings) .

I disagree. There's still money in the TGP game. Its all about knowing the right niche TGPs to submit to as well as designing your galleries to convert.

The greatest threat to submitters are the sponsor hosted galleries that threaten to cut submitters out of the game. I strongly think this is a mistake for TGP owners--they are cutting out the novelty of fresh content, text, and design by going with prefab galleries.

I must be one of the clueless gallery submitters. I think I have a great gallery, good content, good sponsor. But I just cant get them accepted to enough TGP's to generate 4k click throughs. which for my CTR would mean about 40k hits which should be doable I just dont see it happening and I do a submit to 325 galleries.

Ebus want to give a few pointers?

But maybe the TGP owners are flooded with crappy galleries (and good ones!) complaints about copyright infringement, and cheaters they avoid by using hosted galleries.

The guy who finds a niche and developes a unique and interesting membership site to serve it. THIS is the guy who can make a living in almost any market climate. Let's not forget that that is where the real money is...including the money the independent gallery builders live on.

Yep there are still money in gallery submissions, but really more and more TGPs are sending all their traffic to free hosted galleries and just a small amount to the submited one.

I agree with this, I make most of my money by submitting galleries and there is plenty of money to be made, but only if the content is fresh and the designs are made to sell. Just throwing a bunch of pics and a banner on a page isn't going to sell shit.

And as far as hosted galleries go, more and more tgp's are filling up with them, taking away spots for submitters, but why shouldn't they. Might as well bring in the sales for yourself. And no big tgp is going to cut out submitters all together so, it once again comes down to making quality galleries to get listed.

So the only ones that are getting cut are the webmasters that make shit galleries, more listings for those of us with better pages. But hey, this is just my opinion...

Footsex...

Everytime I talk to a designer about gallery design they show me stuff that looks like a sponsor hosted gallery....

The galleries I make are 14-20 pictures and lots of good keyworded add text selling the content or the sponsors. BUT the worst part is out of the 325 places i submidt to I only get accepted to a handful so i never see the traffic to see if it's a gallery that converts or not. I have a good database and use advanced submitter to mirror and I submidt by hand.

I'm a firm believer that CONTENT and TEXT sells the surfer not the flashy photoshop work. Am I dead wrong?

You are absolutely right...and there's the problem.
TGP owners want to post the flashy galleries because they
are pretty. The fact that they don't convert as well is unimportant
to them.

I am only saying what works for me. But let me tell you, if I had to submit to 350 TGP's a day I would want to kill myself. I submit to between 45 and 50. Every month I updated my submit list and take out tgp's that are not sending me traffic and adding new ones, it seems to work out well for me, I have been able to build up quailty traffic with good listings. Also, getting set up with partner accounts is a big plus.
As far as the layout, quality photos and enticing text are what sell galleries for me.
And, if you want to see how well one of your galleries converts, buy 50,000 hits of traffic to it and then you will get results or not, depending on the gallery. But that will help answer some questions.
Again, this is what works for me doesn't mean its right and everyone should agree.

Don't believe him, it's photoshopped.

Gallery submitting is a waste of time.

-Be original
-"brand" your name
- always ask yourself - "would I buy a membership myself" If you wouldent, then why should the surfer`?

One day from my primary program

I have only tested a few others, and im still preparing a TRUCKLOAD of exclusive content gallerys.

When its done, I'm gonna hand it over to Dusen - He will do all the submitting - faster that way

Brand your name to the TGP owners - if they assosiate your name with Quality, you have a better chance to get listed

If your not getting accepted then you are doing something wrong.

To many sponsors?
Sponsor has to many pops?
To many links?
Counters?

Page load to slow?
Content overused, sucks?

Just a few things to look at.
