Why the fuck do I always get this fucking message?!!

It's just MS Outlook there's nothing wrong with the mail server.

Did you fat-finger the SMTP server in the settings? Perhaps your ISP runs their mailserver on a non-standard port.

Or perhaps....just maybe....Outlook is dumb.

Try taking that account off the system and then adding it again. it may reset itself, orelse when id doubt, contact the ISP and bitch at them, they may not be able to fix it but it's a good vent.

ISP might have changed mail servers and you haven't updated.

most email servers lock up for 15 mins when somethings wrong, maybe youre cancelling a process and restarting it (because the mailserver reply takes to long - lotta ppl do that), then youll get these errors...

check your mail server settings, or your SMTP server is down. try restarting your Outlook.

hm.. looks like I'm the only one. I don't have a virus scanner installed. There is nothing wrong with the mail server. It's on my own server. Most of the time I get this error message after Replying on a mail. It seldom does happen with a New mail. When I remove the email which doesn't want to go thru from the que, all the others move out without any problems using the same mail server.
