I am a little confussed.

While visiting the Like Whoa website, I see they are very secure and located in the FBI building in New York.

Would someone please correct me If I am reading this wrong. Does the FBI own or operate Like Whoa?

The only advanced physical security I saw there was the big steel door that everyone went through. There were no hand scanners, no security staff in the building outside the half asleep guard at the front desk for all the clients that were in that building.

The customers servers were lying about. No cages to offer, no doors on the racks of customers colo gear and the best part was that I walked all over the building and no one asked me for any identification, now thats security!!!!

when i saw their site for the first time yesterday, it looked like one of those Template Masters templates of web hosting companies.

There are numerous tennants in that building. The FBI is one of them.

LWI had a 2,000dq ft suite for colo inside Network Plus's facility, that's all.

No offices there, no nothing.

well at the time,

I had one server with them and they had gone like 6 months without down time,

adn well I had hosted with a british guy who colocated with like whoa,

and when likewhoa got locked out the last time they said it was the other hosts fautl and braged how I hosted with them but was paying a middle man,

and well at the time my free host had been fucked over by servenet.com

so I moved my free host to likewhoa,

and then flashhost and maxim have network fuck ups,

so I had enogh of that shit adn moved to like whoa,

and then I had everything with like whoa,

I should have gone with isprime at the time,

I also had some stuff with swiftwill.com

then liek whoa fucked up, some more bullshit downtime,

so I moved it all to swiftwill, but I have a server with hahahahahaha also,

see ive been through 9 hosts, and my site is never down,

in most cases you will go down a bit and come back up and you can move dns in 24 hours, and be on another host,

I always got one foot out the door when hosts fuck up,

but actually right now,

of all the bad hosts I had, like whoa takes the cake, for lying and bullshit,

and my current host,

swiftwill.com over 1 year and no downtime yet, so Im very happy,

IM a loyal customer , no one wants to move hosts ,

but you have to be ready to jump ship, when the shit hits the fan,

other wise you go down with the ship, ive never had more than 24 hours downtime, on vidsvidsvids.com

in over 4 years, because I left and watched my own ass,

look if anyone is still hosting with like whoa, wake up adn move your ass,

and then a colection agency on my ass,

able to retrieve your equipment 24 hours/day, I'm only about 10 miles from the facility and I have bandwidth etc. here no problem. I may be able to buy out
the server your site was on if your were on their equipment.
If you are on their equipment act fast before he sells it to someone else. No, I have no clue how much the servers will sell for. I would suspect that $10,000 is above the price for most of the equipment and that $1000 is below.

Have you ever tried to get cell reception inside a bombproof facility with blastproof doors? it doesn't work so hot.
This is typical at all colocation facilities -- what the building doesn't stop all the EMF from thousands of switching power supplies will. Even 802.11b wi-fi has issues in that environment.
oh, don't forget the cages -- lovely antennas for all that rf noise.

have access to the server status so they know where your stuff is at?
you know, like a real business. Deal with a REAL hosting center sometime -- not this adult stuff, someone like Sprint or UUNET.
Do you think you get to call the VP of hosting at UUNET to ask where your server for your e-commerce site is at?
No! you get to call the NOC -- maybe not even, maybe a call center that dispatches calls based on issues (network vs. system vs. billing etc. etc.).
You can't run a company with hundreds of servers as a one-man band or even a trio.

This is complete and utter bullshit. I've been picking up servers from Nick pretty much every day for the past few days. You need to get in touch with him, his permission to release the box (usually he will verify the ownership), and letters of authorization. You are picking up people's equipment which they own.
It is the people who are on equipment they do NOT own
that are going to lose their data. It is that equipment which will eventually be liquidated. I never aid nor implied that Nick will sell equipment which does not belong to the company.
If you supplied a server or bought one from LikeWhoa, you'll get it.
I can get stuff out and up on the et for anyone who wants.
Just because you have been picking up servers doesn't mean
you are the ONLY one who can do so.

If I get enough people together at one shot I can even get a cage at the same facility and turn up connectivity in 36 hours.
