Constructive LikeWhoa thread

Ok, so the lazy bunch of us who still had a box or 2 at likewhoa.. what are we gonna do?

I been calling them since yesterday and obviously no one answers..

If our boxes are "locked down" who has the key? Sounds like we need to skip over LW, and goto the man with the key since the servers are our property.. which is the next issue, how the fuck are we gonna find our boxes in a datacenter without Likewhoa's help, let alone convince someone there to yank the box and let us walk out of the building with it!

We have made arrangements to fly to New York and handle this in person...Want to meet us there?....

One of their asswipes icq'd me and asked if we received our promo items for Adult Centro.....are you kidding me I asked?...

This is what promted us to take a little vacation to the Big Apple.

Should be fun....lol

All I know is we are with XFR and Swiftwill.....XFR hosts our sites and Swiftwill hosts our galleries and both of them are awesome.

Just got confirmation they are 100% for sure screwed, boxes under lockdown, employees all gone and changing their identities.

Why did it have to come to this? Why couldn't they act like a normal company, let people know they were going to get shut down and let us grab important stuff before it happened? I mean they had to have known a few hours before, an email would have sufficed, and not all of us monitor every board for rumours about hosts shutting down.

it's been at least a year....if you still have a server there, it's your own fault.....

I'm with a small host but if they even APPEAR like their business is waning, I'm out of there....

I'll pay ya a bounty on my server if you are seriously gonna go there and knock skulls till someone whips out a key to let you in and grab servers

Honestly, unless you got solid proof of ownership and know how to locate your server, I don't see it happening.

its going to be hard to get anything out of there, i had a few clients that had colo's there that they still have yet to recover, no cooperation from LW at all...I'd suggest talking to a lawyer and finding out the options b4 making any trips.

Well I have 4 boxes there so Id chip in on an attorney..

When I was at galaxy you just had to get to the right person for them to release the box.

Basically I signed a letter saying I held them responsible for nothing and they released my box.

Best thing to do if they are at a colo facility is find a company in there that will take your server.. then they can usually pick it up for you easily.

Just remember, whether you own the box or not, insist you do!

Make up phoney receipts etc.. but.. problem is that likewhoa probably didnt have the best management so it is probably a mess in there and boxes may not even be labled properly.

But its worth a phone call, fuck serial numbers, tell them you have them anyway, just fax them a receipt or other document. I think you would be suprised how quickly they would release the boxes..

Well thats how my dealings went with Level3 over Galaxy Net anyway..

Is there any other Adult Hosts in that colo facility?

Chris

See if a host really wanted to pick up some business.. getting servers out of those cages would pick them up quite a bit.

You just have to prove ownership of the boxes, well that was last time anyway..

Just wanted to let it be known that Reality Check network had contacted a guy I work with prior to this likewhoa (which is when I ordered my new server...alas it came UPS ground and was too slow) and told us they were former LikeWhoa employees and that the company was doing badly. I underestimated how badly I suppose. Just telling you all this on behalf of my associate who is suspcious that they may be likewhoa reborn. FYI.

You're right . I beleive its owned by $tandaman...who just told me the other day he left Likewhoa a month but as far as he knew everything was "A-OK" at the likewhoa camp, which is pretty sad because i spoke to someone shortly after that and they told me they have been locked out of their data center for over 4 months now for non payment. Im not one to bash anyone, and i keep out of shit like this but it really pissed me off that i have stuck with them for so long, thru all the bullshit and been a loyal paying customer for over 2 yrs...figure the least the guy could have done was level with me.

I have a direct relationship with level3. I have a few calls in and I am going to see if I cant get my level3 rep to take over the account and get service restored to those boxes. I am NOT promising anything..Im just going to try.

My relationship with level3 is west coast..can one of you guys give me the address to the L3 data center you are all in.

Here is the situation as it stands right now...again, I am not going to guarantee anything but we are giving it our best shot.

My level3 relationship also has an existing relationshp with Broadview..a pretty good, long standing one.

We are in the process of contacting Broadview and explaining the following to them:

You currently have a $157,000 receivable that you most likely will never collect on and a suite full of boxes taking up space.

Our proposal:

Shift the suite to our existing Broadview relationship and fire the boxes back up and restore network connectivity. Establish new contractual relationships with the victims that colo'd with LW so that they can get back in business and start paying you money, which you are not getting now and have no real hopes of getting (allegedly).

Keep the liens on the servers (in other words, if you dont want to let the servers leave the building, fine, but at least let everyone get back in business) until the matter with LW is resolved. Perhaps even establish vesting of some sort (stay with the new broadview relationship and remain current on your bill for a period of time) so that eventually the owners of the servers would be able to remove them if they wanted to even if the LW situation is never resolved.

Again..not promising anything, but the good news is that they have not yet said no.

So after all this bullshit, 40+ threads, we are still no where. unfucking beleivable.

I got my receipt for my box, gonna go through all the numbers again tommorow morning, pick up a letter from my attorney, fax it to all the fax numbers I can find that had anything to do with them, if I hear nothing, gonna get my guy to hop a flight down there with all the paperwork to get my box back.

Still need to figure out how I can show up at their datatcenter and acually find the box, I assume there's no sticker that says "Gleem's server". Any hosting employees know how we can identify our box?a

If this is an actual bankruptcy, I doubt if you're going to be able to just waltz in and grab your boxes (speaking to colo clients). The situation will be in the hands of a court which won't let a fucking thing happen until it gets a chance to sort things out.

I really need to know what is going on over there. I got through to someone early this morning at the toll free number. He said that they were moving the servers over to a new center and they are working furiously and will have it up soon.

Is this total bullshit? I have important client and customer data on my box. I NEED that stuff really really badly.

Can anyone help.....

Yes it's total bullshit. It's not the 1st hosting co. moving servers over new datacenter. You can't have your clients DOWN FOR DAYS and get back to them like everything is normal for 100th time and act like nothing wrong is going on. This attitude shows at least two things: lack of respect towards to your clients and lack of technical knowledge.

Likewhoa fed up a lot of people with bullshits, including people they were supporting them till lately.

Last time they went down for good, they came back here with this sad attitude. We have seen them threteaning people with lawsuits a couple of times as well. When you do not know what's really going on, better thing is not to comment. Now we do have facts, it is proved that everything was part of the same bs.

Nick's last board activity here was to post a pic of his new BMW. Do you know how easy is to make big living with money that do not belong to you? Too easy.

realitychecknetwork.com
belongs to moisey uretsky, Nicks Right Hand man, and Nick was seen at their datacenter yesterday.

Sound like Likewhoa reborn again, don't be a sucker.

Also if your servers are at LW's datacenter, you have 0 chance of ever seeing it again unless you have serial numbers and specs on every part of the machine and a reciept to prove it, and the reciept can't be form Likewhoa itself.

If you don't have that info, Broadview said they are going to auction off all the servers and put the better ones to use once their drives are wiped.

FUCKING BULLSHIT!!

Oh and even if you have all the serial numbers and reciepts, and a fucking picture with you and your server standing together in the datacenter, you won't see it till after they have a court hearing and judgement, cold be a week, could be a year till that's all done with.

MOTHERFUCKERS!
