The date was a BLAST! Go see "The Italian Job" ... fun movie! NOT as fun as exposing Charly for BEING A LIAR! LOL :winkwink: |
Bruce Almighty was also a kick ass movie.
I never laughed so hard :) |

And as for the other thing I only said business must be bad if you're giving it away. But you just took it all to heart I'm sorry if I upset you. At least you have a nice house to live in. You really should calm down and take chill pill. You are winning this argument hands down and I'm just bumping your spam thread for you again. |

I just want to set the record straight about a few things before too much bad information starts flying around.
First of all, anyone that knows me (though not many ppl), knows that I am a straight shooter, and would not deal with anyone I didn't trust. I have known Jonathan since 1997. He is a good guy, and a great marketer! I know Jon will handle this promotion professionally and honestly, albeit with his usual flare. I can tell you there is no lying going on. One Lick content was list priced at $299 per shoot just a few months ago. Back then, people were paying an average of $150 - $175 per shoot after discounts. Recently I have lowered the prices significantly to try and expand my customer base beyond people looking for images for tour graphics. One Lick is not going out of businees. I am having a promotion to try and raise capital. Also, Ron Cohen no longer works for One Lick. He had problems in his personal life and is no longer with the company. I am actually the one who created One Lick as a contractor. Once Ron left, his partners approached me to take over for him, which I have. I have extensive experience with content, as this is my second major content company. The first one was Fresh Photos, which I was in charge of creating and running when I was VP at Internet Supply. It was later sold to Brad Shaw. Thanks to everyone who has supported One Lick, and have spoken highly of our content's quality. -Marshall |
Why is it that every time a company comes out with a sale everyone things they are going out of business. Why is that the first impression. Why don't most people think that, "hey, maybe the guy has about 200 more shoots to introduce so he is lowering prices on what he has currently available to make room for the new stuff?" That is what I am doing when I offer 200 Hardcore Video shoots with pictures for just $1500.00. Check out what it looks like on DVD.

Hi Maz
Hope you get from this what you want, you have some good sets on your site. But the prices could have been a bit high. we sell loads of boy girl at $40 to $50 but the sales absolutely crashed when we pushed them higher. I think it's one of balance, too low and the extra sales don't cover the loss, especially if some one else is taking a cut. Too high and you lose sales, because as much as they want semi exclusivity they want it at $20 a set :1orglaugh Keep up the good work and the standards. I hope this marketing strategy does want you want it to. |

Thanks for "helping" me launch http://www.contentblowout.com :winkwink: I appreciate the fact you have a sense of humor about the banner, and how I posted this thread yesterday, and my entire promotion! :) Hope your having fun in Montreal! It's a GREAT city! ... as you know, I couldn't afford to go LOL |
Quote:
It might very well be semi-exclusive by virtue of the fact his business has been so slow for "a while" and not a lot of webmasters have it , but - I don't think it's his intention :winkwink: :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
Quote:
Last time I saw charly post on this subject, he thought that charging a higher price without any limitations on sales constituted "semi-exclusive", simply because less people buy the set. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe he changed his mind, though. ;) I'm just going on what the last thing I saw him post about this was. |
J$, please check your email. This was not EZ but please read.
|
I think it limits your audience to people who actually know or care who the fuck Aaron and Charly are...which wouldn't include anyone who casually reads the board or is new to the board.

Err.. I said....
Originally posted by goBigtime I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet... But... "108 image sets with a total of over 10,500 images for just 2750!" isn't much of a blowout in comparison to the few "blowouts" that recently passed through. That's more of a "bulk pricing available" sorta sale You said... Quote:
I didn't understand why you were bashing me... especially since I was suggesting how these deals didn't hold a candle to the recent ones offered by Cloud9 (You), ClutchContent, Sobe & whoever else.... But now now I get it..... ContentBLOWOUT is YOU as well. The guy in the banner looked like Ram. I guess you lost some weight. You're smaller now it seems. Anyway, what I said is true... this deal isn't that hot compared to YOUR original "Content BLowout" or the others that were offered. I was commenting based upon the NAME of the site/promotion/whatever.... But That doesn't mean this deal isn't good... I'm sure its selling fine. :thumbsup So now that we've straightened that out... here's one to even it up so I wont feel bad if we ever do business :321GFY |
Quote:
That's what I was thinking too. I remember reading in AVN or someplace once how J$tyle$ is a marketing and PR genius. Hmmmmmm I dunno after that comment... :1orglaugh But I'm sure he meant no harm.. he did leave a nice winky a the end... :winkwink: |
Quote:
How did I "bash" you? By breaking balls and calling you goSMALLtime? You gotta have thicker skin than that, no? :) |
Quote:
But I've just made another observation -- You should always note that anyone that calls you J$tyle$ rather than Jstyles probably has a little respect for you. See.. I can be pretty slacky on typing sometimes and that extra effort/brainpower for the $'s instead of the S's really needs to be earned. :glugglug |
Quote:
It's all good! Thanks for the extra effort! :winkwink: BTW - Todd from webinc.com just added a sweetner to the One Lick BLOWOUT deal. Any one that purchases the package for $2750 will save $200.00 on any paysite design package from webinc :thumbsup |
this thread has gone from funny to really stupid, even someone on drugs can see that.
Personally I think that everyone should get their own thread if they want to spam their content, but then wait! some people would have their threads locked because they don't actually pay for advertising like Jon did... OneLick has a great photog, Marshall if you were around when IS owned FP, you did well getting the same guy to shoot for you again. Why anyone would think that those sets wouldn't be saleable for more than 50 bucks a set is beyond me. Why someone would feel the need to spam the same freaking worn out picture all over the place of some dvds is also beyond me. Now dammit, I want to be in a banner. ;) |

The OneLick stuff is great take it from a guy who owns it all at the old price, DOH:Graucho
|
Quote:
If it makes you feel better, at the OLD prices One Lick was pretty exclusive stuff since the prices kept # of customers fairly low. But once this promotion raises some cash, One Lick will be out with some great new content, at the NEW prices! :thumbsup |
I have no problems with this I made a ton of cash from it:thumbsup

We have two sites with two approaches to selling. One is the signature site where we have the better sets priced $30-50, the license restricts it to 10 URLs and no giving pictures to affiliates or hosted galleries. Sales on the sets onthis site run from 20 times on average. On the second site www.bargainbasementcontent.com we have content that is not so good, priced $5 -$15 as many URLs as you want and webmasters can give them to affiliates. Sales on this site run around 50 times on a set. So price and license do restrict a sets distribution. However we are planning a section of the signature site with sets that are going to have a limit of 6 licenses sold. We will just price these sets at $100+ per set and see how it goes. If some webmasters want this "Semi-Exclusivity" fine, if not we will keep it as it is and just take a loss on those sets. Kimmykim Sets will sell for more than $50, however it's a balance 10 times at $80 or 20 times at $50, these figures can vary obviously. Now they are selling the same sets at $25 will they make more money than when they were at $80? Selling is a balalnce, getting the highest prices and the maximum sales, especially when you have a salesman taking a percentage. |
