Laptop work station

I am rebuilding my laptop work station with a new laptop and need to update / upgrade my monitors to USB-C. Should I go with one larger monitor (perhaps a curved monitor) or two regular sized monitors?

My main work station has a Samsung 49 inch Odyssey if that helps....

I was running that monitor with my M1 Macbook Air, and tossed it over to my PC and got a DisplayLink docking station so now it's my M1 macbook in front of me and three 27" monitors above it.

Your screen is nice but it's still just two 27's side by side. No bezel in the center though, that's why I use it for simracing.

My laptop goes with me when I travel so I usually pack one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-FR3PK-34...01IOO4TIM?th=1

It is a Dell 34" curved monitor. I also use one for my desktop workstation.

But now... I'm looking at the 49" monitors and thinking...

Hey, Rasmus?

I use a 10 year old 4k 50" Samsung and I think this is the perfect size screen for old farts who don't want to wear glasses. Still HDMI.

Isn't there a HDMI to USB-C adapter or something? Just go to your nearest BestBuy and stare real close at the TVs there, maybe they'll even let you connect your laptop to the screen to test?

I was always a huge monitor nut, and this old 50" Samsung is the nicest monitor I've ever used.

That's the problem.... My new laptop is really a Microsoft Surface Pro 11 and it's USB-C. I am going to be using a Microsoft Thunderbolt 4 dock. I can hook the laptop directly up from the laptop using USB-C to an adaptor... but once I use the dock it doesn't work. For some reason the docking station doesn't play nicely with adaptors.

I have a dozen monitors here at the house but they are all older.

Switched to 21:9 ultrawide 10+ years ago and haven't looked back. Looking left or right is hard on the neck.

I tile a ton of windows all over it though, can't related to people who insist on fullscreening each window they are using.
