no, they are easily worse than 90% of the religions out there. probably the most cultish out of the more popular lesser religions. I don't know about over there, but here they're taken out of school at around 16. Any religion that requires (or as is the case, pressured STRONGLY, STRONGLY, FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR FAMILY) the rejection of knowledge and removal from highschool should be burned. That and shunning family members that leave the flock.

Most every culture throughout history has some sort of religious belief. It's part of what makes us human. Inside we know there's something bigger than us.

You might possibly have a point if not for the fact that it's a primal instinct. In order to get away from it, a person has to rationalize WHY something bigger isn't needed.

well the majority are probably just strung along by their parents who were strung along by their parents and so on. the majority don't attend church and don't follow the teachings but still call themselves christian, why i am not sure. the 'born again' ones are the hardcore weaklings. they need something to attach themselves to to keep from falling apart. religion is just one of the more socially acceptable ways of doing this but no matter if your shooting up with god or heroin you're still deluding yourself.

like everyone else, he needs something to blame. personal responsibility and religion are polar opposites basically. everything is caused by something else...temptation, sin, the "devil", god "meant" for it to happen, etc. even the good stuff, its always god who does it. no the talented surgeon didn't save your life, god did. its so silly. believe in yourself and hold yourself responsible for your thoughts and actions.

To say they are "anti porn" is not really accurate. The founder has become one of Ron Jeremy's best friends. They are invited to porn shows by those who put them on. Why? Because they show respect and aren't screaming at people telling them that they're going to hell.

They are available for people who want help. They don't push it on people who do not. God gave all of us free will, and we can use that free will to make choices for ourselves. While they don't think porn is a good thing, they aren't trying to legislate it out of existence or demonize people who create it or act in it.

i would say yes. most people are weak. either they need something to believe in or need an explanation of why things happen. or they don't want to feel alone. there is lots of people who are screwed up and turn to religion to fix things for them but they just getting fucked up another way by another group of people.

take you for example. you ruined young girls lives and had no problems doing it until your girlfriend left you and your wife tried to take your kid away. not to mention you were failing out of adult anyway. so you were weak and turned to religion and let the xxx church nuts use you as their show pony to help them collect more donations so they could line their pockets.

I've seen a real psychiatrist to try to figure out whether or not something is wrong. From what I've read and heard, the person who has the problem is the last to know due to denial or other self-delusions. I decided I'd see him because of the way I respond to loss or being accused of things that aren't true - I freak out. Seeing the head doc really helped with that, a lot, but it was intellectual discussion, rather than medicine, that did the trick. I still speak with my psychiatrist from time to time. I'm sorry to disappoint, but it turns out there's nothing wrong with me. Yes, I do realize that's not very colorful or interesting. It would be far more fascinating to have some scary diagnosis. There are definitely things I can work on to make better, but I don't have a diagnosable disorder of any kind. To be completely honest, hearing that news left me a little disappointed.

My gun collection is nothing to "brag" about. It's nothing special. I'm just vocal about it because so many here are "anti gun" when guns aren't the problem at all.

you need a third option for donny. i think he knows religion is crap deep down inside but by playing along he gets to try to mend things with his ex wife, make his family happy and see his kid more. not to mention he financially profits from all this xxx church and porn crap. he got too creepy for college girls to let him shoot them and his sales dried up so porn is no longer an option. he moved over to religion because it benefited him not because he drinks the koolaid but because he could serve it for 10 cents a cup.

lol he didn't join a church, he works for one. and no other church would hire him. he was a perfect fit for the xxx church because he was someone that they couple proclaim was "saved" from porn. then donny can get on stage and say how bad porn is. he is the perfect pawn for them to use in their dog and pony show. when the church is finished with him and spits him out then he will have his next break down and will have nothing to turn to, that is when i fear he will use his guns. that might be why he is hanging out here again, i wonder if they already got their money out of him and if they are finished with him, so he wonders back here. but he will not get a good welcome here and will have no where to go next.
