In the vast range of human experiences, I ponder out loud, and I ask of my fellow GFY-kin folk...

Of the horrible human conditions that can befell us, in general, I propose that one of the WORST feelings is having wet socks. What's seriously worse than cold, wet socks. You can, of course, get used to it if your entire body is struggling to trek home through snow, or if you fell into a lake fully-clothed, wet socks could be the least of your worries. But if you're just waking up, going to the kitchen and see the dawn's sun peeking over the horizon in the kitchen window, if you, at that moment in your warm thermal socks, then discover your sink has leaked, that feeling of icy cold toes wrapped in a cloth net of low temperature discomfort stabs like little mean daggers between your toes; all this before your first morning java... fuuuuuuuck!

If you have nice, dry, warm toes right meow... be thankful.

No, no... this was a Huggles original after dealing with some fucking stupid shit where I renewed my fucking license somewhere, but because their renewal system is easy for the end user to screw up and use old credentials that, somehow, aren't linked with the account you just renewed under, I sat for 48+ hours with no license after I paid, and so I fucking got SUPER fucking frustrated and had to get fucking drunk because I literally JUST FUCKING WAITED DAYS TO AFFORD THE FUCKING LICENSE, JUST TO WAIT DAYS AGAIN TO USE IT and shit was soooooooooo fucking irritating that the only thing I could compare it fucking to, is having wet fucking socks.

The little things in life that make you stop and wait and really, really savour the utter frustration of life where, despite your best intentions, shit happens and you get completely fucked over on your time and effort, and it just really fucking stings. I should have just bought a second fucking membership and then refunded the one that was lost in limbo, then I could've already got started and wouldn't have fucking drank on Monday because I was sitting here juuuuuuuuuuuust fucking waiting to get started, and incredibly annoyed to the point where I had to slam liquor just to ease the pain of sitting here staring "license is expired" after I had already paid 2 days ago.

The whole fact that I had to wait to afford the license, then had to wait AGAIN just to use it after I paid, that was such a kick in the balls of life. Talk about nuclear levels of frustration.

I think it depends upon exactly how the socks got wet to begin with... I mean, getting caught by a wave on the seashore, as you walk along the beach for an evening stroll, would feel pretty bad - You'd probably have to go home early to change them...

However, if they got wet from the urine soaked floor, of a dirty mens restroom, where you deliberately removed your shoes before entering? Well, that would be a different matter entirely!

Weather hit 0c, so a mini-melt has begun!

The ceiling is leaking drips right on my desk and I borrowed an umbrella to sit under so I could do my uploads of my newest compilation format, but my socks get wet if I don't wear my heavy boots at my desk.

Before you even ask, I'm not even touching the ceiling repair because with my luck, the entire ceiling will cave in!

My real name is banned site-wide and the admins delete anything to do with me. You can't even post my book to make fun of it because my name triggers some flag that removes anything to do with me. At least it was up to 2023 when I last checked.

This happened during GamerGate when I published a post that broke down the alledged connections between all of the people involved and it was pretty damning evidence that was all publicly available.
