Harddisk - os question
My c drive is only 40 gig - i bought another one (180 gig).
Question: if i want to make the big drive my c drive can i just copy all files from the old one to the new one? Would it startup as C drive with the full os on it?

To answer your original question ... no it is not that simple.
Only because your boot volume needs to have the boot sector header witten on the disk, which calls your high memory drivers, which in turn call the OS. In order for your OS to boot up when you start, that header must be present.

Better to put your OS on the smaller drive. less access time, because you can fill your bigger HD with all your junk, and have the smaller for the swap and page files.

Used norton ghost and it worked great, i'm on it right now. About using the smaller drive for my os: i bought two 80 gig drives, 1 for the os with a BIIIIIIIIIIG swap area and 1 to store some shit on.
