i'm pretty sure a 6 month stint in federal custody wouldn't be so bad. you most likely would not be held with violent offenders.

Federal prison is not harsh at all actually. When I was younger my friend got sent there for six months, for a similar crime. He said no one did shit like that, it was filled with drug dealers, scam artists, computer hackers, fraud guys, and of course, ex-ceo's. Also, they keep you locked in for a lot longer than regular prison. State prison is something to fear, Fed prison is something to look forward to.

haha I told him that if he told me the truth I wouldn't laugh too hard, but he said overall it was a lot easier than he had thought, and even though he was underage he had no problems with anyone whatsoever. Had a friend in for under a year on a real estate deal where they had overstated their income by several hundred thousand on the bank loan. He had gotten sucked into one of those get rick quick real estate programs and hooked up with another guy who was scamming all these real estate newbies to take the fall on bogus loan apps they were using to buy expensive properties. They finally caught the main scammer and he's looking at 25 plus.

But my buddy said it was nothing like he thought was going to happen. Everybody was cool and he was with mostly all white collar guys so he made lots of friends. Said they just read a lot, workout, and watch TV. No one assaulted him or anything like that. He didn't have to do much time cause he cut a deal to testify against the main schemer.

He got in perfect shape cause the low quality food was the part he didn't like much.

Hacking? He'll get sent to some minimum security farm where he can read, exercise, and watch TV most of the day with the rest of the white collar types.

Those places are more like summer camps you can't leave than actual prisons. Alot of them don't even have any sort of fencing.. they just expect you'll stay because the additional sentence for escaping is always greater than what you've got to serve.

If you have to do time, Federal is the way to go.

well i am sure he is just going to go to CLUB FED and that is a cake walk , trust me been there and done that i was tehre for four years and it wasnt shit ,,,,,,,,, there is NO FENCE there are no door locks it isnt really about shit , they are not going to put a person with a little 6 months behind the fence trust me

I dont know how your state governs time but In chicago 6 months =county time which=LEISURE anything over 1 year and 1 day means federal prison

I have a buddy who just got sentenced to 8 months in the Fed. Penn. It's a continuation of some time he was doing there last year. According to him, it's a cake walk. His girl can even drive down and he can walk or drive around the "campus" with her. They call it a campus...thought that was pretty funny. He's never been harassed, never been stuffed in the ass. Says it isn't actually all that bad...considering.

a friend of mine went to federal and they let him have a band in there. He had a drumset and 2 other guys had guitars..they just jammed everyday for 5 hours...dosent sound bad to me. I guess in federal though you actually do the time they give you..unlike state prison where they sentence you to 5 years and you do only 2

Federal prison is not bad, know 3 or 4 people that have served time. State prisons I know about Diff. story, know many that have spent a few days in Texas and California prisons (he wouldn't like' em at all). Shit the Los Angeles county jail is 50 times worse that Federal prison, took' em 24 hours just to book me in and out, I bet they have over 5,000 people in that dam jail.

The bad thing about federal time is when they say 6 months, you stay there for 6 months. State time you get like 2 days off for every 1 day of good behavior.
