The thread was called "Amputate your Mom".... I didn't see how that really reflected anything Viper had to say. What he really wants is for people to cry for him. Just helping you out Viper.

Like I said, Gary was tired of waiting on him. Gary was my partner, not Viper. Viper was brought in to alleviate some of the burden on me by doing design work. Viper didn't do that. It was mutually agreed on by Gary and myself to let Viper go. Viper was paid for his button and his gallery, even though we didn't use them.

So what exactly is it that Viper is crying about? I've yet to see anything resembling a cohesive argument here.

A mod changing the title of a thread/post should not be tolerated..unless the title/post is in violation of a board rule. A change by the owner of the board is a different story. My

As I said earlier this kind of partnerships rarely work. Viper needs to understand he got contacted to take part to something that already existed and he could be out of it anytime.

um how about a head count. How many designers out there have been contacted about a job and then after they have put their work into it all of a sudden the person says oh well i've found someone else. If you don't get payment up front and you don't get a signed contract then it's your fault you forgot to get out the vaseline first. Ass tears hurt baby but in the business and on this board you have to get used to it.

Although one could argue whether the ICQ log itself functions as a contract but you guyd didn't really agree on anything. When you do things on a whim you end up on the street!

It would have helped. The contract would spell out each parties responsibilities and maybe with a contract other resolutions would be possible besides posting this on public board and wasting all our time, despite the high entertainment value.

was merely saying that if he felt he was being offered something he should have gotten it in writing (whatever he felt he was being offered) I've been in the same boat. Did all the design work on an affiliate rogram for a partnership well the other guys couldn't hold up to his end of the oral agreement so I told him to have a nice time I was out. I think the prog stayed another month and now it's gone. I'm left with some domain names but no bitterness. It gives me time to pursue other avenues. But if he feels he was fucked it was his own fault if he didn't produce his end of the bargain.
