You are partially right. Looking at all of the attempts to render hottie nude models I am seeing mostly the same problems:

- Uncanny Valley effect. One of the first things people look at are the eyes and face. Our brains have an incredible ability to spot problems and if a render of a person is not perfect, it makes people feel unconfortable. We see this all of the time in recent movies like Star Wars with a CG Princess Leia and Princess Leia, and in movies like Tron Legacy, etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_valley

- Skin that looks like plastic. A big problem in CG is how to make skin look realistic and unless you take Subserface Scattering into account, it will always look plastic or porcelin. Real skin reflect some light, while absorbing other light, scattering it, then bouncing it back out from just below your skin.

- Lighting. Alot of the AI images seem to have lighting that is too perfect.

A real person has alot of randomness to them. People are not perfectly symetrical on both sides of their faces or bodies. Women's boobs with one slightly larger than the other, have minor scars or blemishes, etc etc. If you can use prompts that introduce randomness, and can use real or simulated sub-service scattering, the AI will take alot longer to generate a good image but it should look alot better too.
