The harness from the car should just plug into any aftermarket head unit or OEM head unit that you are trying to install. If someone's already chopped your harness and you've only got wires...go have another harness connected at your local GM dealership. It makes connecting and disconnecting your head unit a snap.

candyflip good call, i forgot all about that. Its been years since ive had to do any wiring on any of my cars.

I remember now that there was an adapter of sorts that would fit into my GM harmess ....

Did that adapter come with the radio? Or do i need a different one depending on what car im using?

I cant remember if its something additional i need to buy, or what.

Thanks.

The radio wires should have the connection (harness) at the end. It's just a plug that goes into the back of the radio. I've been playing with an old VW for the past week, and it's got the connection...so I'm betting a '91 Olds does as well. Good luck.

Most of the wires are the same, red = power, black = ground, yellow/orange = remote etc.

If you can't find the wiring diagram or a harness, its only a matter of trial and error. The multi colored wires will more then likely be the speaker wires.
