Well my guess is that it will be someone out of compliance.

Nope, I can't, since I haven't talked to anyone there in a couple of weeks, so I wouldn't even venture to guess. When I did talk to them, they seemed to realize their mistakes and where they came from, and appeared to be on track to rectify them as quickly as possible.

However, if what they did was completely out of compliance in the EU, I would imagine that maybe -- given their size and history -- they are being given the chance to come into compliance, perhaps after paying some fines or going into monitoring.

I seem to recall hearing some sort of rumor about Mastercard and Deutschebank, though at the moment I can't remember what it was, it was in passing and I guess it didn't trouble me too much at the time.

I heard that same rumour (possibly the same) a few weeks ago too from someone cant for the life of me remember who it was now though.

I would think if what i heard was more than just a rumour we would have seen the fallout about it by now though perhaps?

Regards,

Lee

LOL not really... there are some people that I really like still at IBill, and they seem to have their heads on straight. That's all I'm referring to.

Keep in mind that I don't like to see ANY processor go down, for ANY reason, deserved or not, perceived as deserved or not, I don't care.

It only weakens the business as a whole.

I understand that people make decisions that in the short term seem like good ideas, and some times they even realize that in the long term they are only fucking the pooch harder, but they do them anyway.

Most of the 3rd party processors will go down in the nearest future. That's just a matter of time That's my guess.

No Visa. It's pretty simple. There are no Canadian banks that qualify to process 5967 with any interest in doing it.

Max, I'd guess that a couple more go out, but I'll wager on the ones that come through with flying colors as well

I didn't see that quiet -- I know they were trying to find one but the last time Ron and I discussed it there was nothing to work with --

One of the benefits to all this, perhaps, is that the people who don't have a couple thousand to put into their business in order to pay the reg and establish a presence in a qualifying region, probably will leave the paysite owner segment of the industry. The reason I say that it's a benefit is that someone who doesn't have that little to put into it really doesn't have a business and would be better off sending traffic as an affiliate or working within an established network.

http://gofuckyourself.com/showthread...ght=Canadi an

CCBill is currently exploring a potential business relationship with a Canadian Financial Institution that might be willing to acquire for high-risk business. In order to give this institution an idea of the volume that we might be able to bring them, CCBill would like to ask you for your assistance in helping gauge the estimated business volume.

Therefore, if you are a Canadian business or Webmaster, and would be interested and willing to move your business to a CCBill Canadian solution, please send us the following information via email ([email protected]) or fax (480.449.8822):

* A screenshot of your current processing stats (preferably monthly, although not necessary)
* A copy of a merchant statement (again, preferably monthly, although not necessary)

In the fax or email, please be sure to include your name, a company name, telephone number, and an email address, should there be a need to contact you with any questions.

Our purpose in gathering this information will be to weigh the feasibility of pursuing this option. There are significant financial and technical bridges that would need to be crossed and, therefore, we cannot just ?convince? an institution to enter this arena without fairly accurate business estimates. In addition, and I cannot stress this enough, You Have CCBills Guarantee that this information will not be used for any purposes other than to evaluate the practicality of processing Visa transactions through a Canadian solution. It will not be released to anybody outside of a select few inside CCBill and will be treated with the highest degree of confidentiality.

We need to get this information compiled and validated before the end of May, preferably by Friday of next week (May 23). Our apologies for the short notice, but the sooner we get the ball rolling the better. Please feel free to contact me should you have any concerns with providing this information.

In the chance that there is an agreement and a decision made, it might be 2 to 6 months or longer before CCBill will be able to offer this service. So keep in mind that this would not be an ?immediate? solution for anybody. We have simply discovered a possible option for the future and are testing the waters to determine if it is worthwhile.

As always, feel free to contact our sales department or myself if you have any questions.

Thank you

CCBill
