I don't have Paxum because I'm in the USA and this company stopped doing checks.
I never used ACH or wire so which one is best?

I'd go with ACH. personally I select that for receiving payment whenever possible. cheaper and just as fast if not faster (depending on the bank of the sender)

for ex (in terms of sending costs), in my US bank account it costs $3 to send a 3-day arrival ach. same day ach costs $5. wire is $25. a relatively small diff but one that adds up over time if you're receiving multiple payments from multiple sources, if those fees are passed on to you and not covered by the sender

so yeah, ach ftw. I figure the banks have enough money

ive switched everything i possibly can to ACH and couldnt be happier... no more waiting for checks to show up and wires cost too much if you use them alot

I getcha, but if privacy is the issue there's not much diff between ach and wire. both require your name (which I assume check senders would already have), your account number and either routing number (ACH) or swift code (wire). not much a sender could do to violate your privacy with either set of bank info

considering cost and speed, ach is imo def better than wire

Now that lots of companies are offering ACH I usually go for that because of the low fees. I had similar security and privacy concerns to you and now I run a separate receivables account for this purpose.

Lol, i dont even live in US but i did used ACH 15 years ago first time and it is fast and cheap method. Wire have sense only for international transfers.

Sign up for a prepaid and reloadable visa/mastercard/amex that also has bank account details for direct deposit payments, theres tons of them to choose from

There's a ton of fintech/ebanks now like Axos, Chime, Ally, etc... Could also use Greendot.

Both are fast. ACH, as others have mentioned, is less expensive. If you are getting paid by shady people (maybe rethink doing business with them), wire may be a bit more secure than ACH depending on your bank's routing info. Just about every business bank account can sendvacwire, but ACH requires specific setup for the sender.

I prefer receiving ACH and I prefer sending ACH. Cheaper and typically easier. Wires are just a pain.

An idea to alleviate this concern would be to set up a secondary checking account and use that only for your ACH payments, then transfer to your normal account as needed or even automated. Capital One has some nice "online only" options and pay higher interest than most (even though it's laughable no matter where you go.)
