Anyone else experience this?
My Photoshop is fucking right up. I run XP and installed service pack 2 I think it was, which apparently somewhat interferes with graphics programs. But suddenly in photoshop, I choose a layer, and it pops me to the layer that's at the very bottom of the layers list as soon as I go to move the layer (but not say to edit it such as changing the text). Anyone else experience this or know what I can do aside from a reinstall?
Thanks in advance. |

I've had that happen before, I don't know how I fixed it, but have you tried uninstalling and installing Photoshop again? Or applying the newest patch?

well I have win xp and was installing all the patches and updates. I read in a thread somewhere thought that the updates and patches are actually causing more harm than good in some cases. Plus, they installed some fucking spyware on my computer through these patches and updates. I can't remember which board I read it on it may have been here. I did a search for the particular component that I was told that the patches/updates are installing and sure enough I found it for the date that I had done the latest update. I just went into my computer and restored it to a day or two prior to my last update/install and quit downloading the damn things. My computer has run like a dream every since.

one of the xp patch (I think the one ending in 31) has a problem, it slows down your machine and does strange thing with RAM heavy application. The only solution for now is to remove it.
