Why this now? Am I missing something here? Some new laws in the USA?

I just know in germany u need it by law (that's why pornhub was close to getting problems). Maybe other eu countries too (maybe all).

Better to be safe than sorry. Some parts of the world require a disclaimer by law. If your site is part of an affiliate or whitelabel program some backends will provide these disclaimers automatically. YouPorn.com was the first tube to take down the "warning page" about 15 years ago they did this and at that time the warning label stated that YouPorn.com is illegal in every zip code in the USA. I guess things have changed porn is about to get regulated by the FDA
