If you are yet to read 1984, do it.

I also suggest: The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. Books 1-7 are some of the best I have ever read. Books 8 and 9 were not as good, but still worth reading. Anything by Isaac Asimov or Robert Heinlein. Specifically, the Foundation series and Stranger in a Strange Land. If you want to laugh NOTHING can beat a Dave Barry book. Dave Barry Is Not Making This Up and Dave Barry in Cyberspace are great places to start. SpaceAce |

For books, read the original Dune series (NOT the prequels by Brian Herbert, but the FRANK Herbert books).
The Great and Secret Show by Clive Barker is also a masterpiece. |

Books. for light very entertaining series I suggest 'discworld' novels by Terry Pratchett. Good reading. They're not masterpieces, but if you're sick or it's a rainy day they're excellent reading .
![]() oh, and if you choose to read them, start from the first novel.. they're kinda linked.
