Great News for Mindgeek and Some of Us in the Adult Industry!

Visa has turned back on processing for all of Mindgeek professionally generated content sites for their own productions like Brazzers, Reality Kings, Mofos and partners like Mile High, Sweet Sinner, and Dog House Digital

I am optimistic they will soon work out their issues with their Porn Hub platform as well.

The new version of the major tube sites that are coming will be one that is free of anonymous and illegally uploaded content and will usher in a new age of opportunities for all of us that shoot scenes and hopefully all exploitative content will be a thing of the past

Now that the adult industry has taken this strong stance it is time for mainstream platforms to do the same.

Article says "professionally generated content" which kind sounds like paysite part.

while many will continue to knock the tubes and PH. this, for content providers & legit affiliates, is a good turn for the business side of the adult industry

What's the saying... can't put the tooth paste back in the bottle? Traffic will just shift to another source, likely filelockers.

Excellent news!
Our partners Nutaku can indeed process again with Visa, that's a great positive development for the adult gaming industry.
And adult industry in general, what they call "professionaly generated content" is where the real money is for most of us. And for MD as well, I'm not an expert but I'd say that most of their revenues come from professionally generated content. UGC is probably more a "traffic generator" than directly a "money generator".

I find a lots of videos on Pornhub with hosts assault and underage videos, the reason because VISA/Mastercard blocked them.

I saw some numbers recently that adult is 15b-20b / year and mindgeek is doing under 1b revenue

it seems like they're not as powerful as one might think. I suspect they are cultivating the "monopoly" narrative for business reasons.

I highly doubt the there is 15-20 billion in annual revenue. With that said I cannot outright reject the figure.

Applying some sort of basic business/mathematical logic, one should consider the following:

If MindGeek's annual revenue is 1 billion (example), and they have 45 percent (example) of the www traffic visiting their sites, than we can broadly presume that the industry wide revenue from 100 percent of www traffic is approximately 2.2 billion dollars annually.

Ok, but that doesn't change the fact that what you said was incredibly ignorant. I'm not sure why anyone would trust your opinion when you've demonstrated that you don't know what you're talking about, but here we are.

It's even funnier when people post stuff like this. Imagine being as vocal as you are about "Mindgeek bad" and then being this ignorant to the industry you supposedly work in.

The same was said about MyFreeCams and Chaturbate when they launched. OF is just a new market player for a big segment of users. The two types of users aren't mutually exclusive and this kind of narrow mind will prevent you from making real money.

Including cams and sites like OnlyFans, etc., it's pretty likely. Broke dicks here don't realize how much others are making while they're on GFY whining about tubes instead of making their business better.

I don't know that MG cultivates the monopoly narrative. It would just make them a target. They certainly do for their pay site business in their marketing to affiliates, though.

Its shocking how much of my traffic is for onlyfans models. A single DMCA takedown request for an onlyfans model cut my traffic almost 5%.

If someone can figure out how to use tube traffic to sell onlyfans subscriptions -- they will be rich.

It's really easy to estimate with with just a few companies making 70% of the market like:

Mindgeek with tubes, TrafficJunky and paysites
Streamate WL network + affiliated groups
Xvideos and the rest of the Group
Xhamster with Stripchat and TrafficStars
OnlyFans/MFC
Chaturbate
LiveJasmin

There are some few big local players in local markets as well, especially in Japan, UK, Germany, France.

Plus quite a few aggregator networks, a few Ruskies have very big tube networks (not just TubeCorporate), etc.

But yeah, broke dicks here seem to forget there's $100mm/yr companies who cater to JUST Germany / Austria / Switzerland, etc etc.

Since we have hired a takedown company, they have removed our content from several hundred tubes and other pirate sites and Google delisted close to 200 tubes and other thieves ( and yes many Ruski ones also).

The upshot is ? Our business went up almost 50 %, because MOST of the " click and play" stolen content is gone and the other pirates are much harder to find

Which takedown company did you hire? PM me if you prefer to keep it private. I think I could use one of those right about now!

Did these sites rank for your brand and/or scene titles or something? Maybe even out rank you? If so, then that increase makes total sense. Either way, congrats.

Let me check with them after the weekend. I was apparently one of the few new " adult guinea pigs". I offered them some "plugs" here ( mind you that was a few months ago), they were NOT yet ready then. So, I will check again.... But historically I am battling pirates for years. I had a guy inside our company doing it ( until he went for bigger and better job), then I had a member here from Manila doing it manually ( until she went back to university and had to quit) and then company named MUSO ( good guys, but very expensive)... These current guys are most reasonable and very effective in comparison to all others. I am "on" with them since September.... I will of course let everybody know as soon as they are ready and allow me to ID them.

Not sure if I understand you exactly, but as an example....

Name of our site could be googled with a request for "free" or fucking "user uploaded" content. Of course our site does NOT have free content, so most of the pirates shown up instead. Many where phony ( looking for clicks and full of cul-de-sacs and other shit), but if the person was persistent enough, they found a "click and play" tube or some file sharing site.

Since we have a VOD site, so searching for a single title, with " free" prefix also caused that the title ( usually in the same sites) also shown up.

Now, if you search, in most cases you still get the same response, BUT once you get to the link, you will get 404 error, or "file not found" or "content removed due to copyright claim" etc... Also you get Google pages stating to go see Lumen since copyright claim was received and approved by Google. Some sites we also completely "killed", usually US based hosts.

It is too early for me to make an exact assessment, but majority of our easily searchable content is gone and only a few " Moldovan" or "Asian" sites full of crappy adds and viruses are left. I hope this good trend will continue.
