Well it's a sad, but fun weekend planned for me...

The sad part, is that one of the iconic Teignmouth toilet buildings are due to be demolished soon, and when they lock it up on Sunday night, thats it - The end of an era - No more parties...

The fun part though, is that in order to see the toilets off with a bang, members of the TTE (Teignmouth Toilet Enthusiasts) Club, are holding a huge party in there tomorrow night. We expect it to be pretty off the hook, and overflowing well past full capacity... Chances are, with that many of us attending (Covid Be DAMNED! It's IMPOORTANT!) it will probably drag on throughout Sunday, right up until they lock the doors for the final time... *sob*...

A truly sad occasion, but hopefully we can make it a night (and day) to remember !

Below, I'll include pics and a write up on the toilets in question, taken from my hugely poopular and successful, "Guide to Teignmouth Public Toilets" thread.

Above, the Gents - A discreet, and slightly seedy entrance, attracts you inside to the customary darkness and gloom associated with this sort of toilet. Again, this only improves the overall experience as you know that you are entering a very special place.

One of my favourite childhood memories involve this very toilet. Back in the freezing cold winter of 1977 I can clearly remember the blockage that caused all the toilets to back up and overflow. Due to the fact that these toilets are located on a steep slope, the effluent flooded all down the carpark and froze overnight. What better xmas present could I have poosibly wished for, than to have gone sledging on the glorious lake of waste... Before crash landing in the waste that had gathered at the bottom of the hill, but had not yet frozen... Ahhh, those were the days...

Well guys, those are all of the main toilets in Teignmouth, but don't be sad, as I will update this thread with a final post tomorrow. In it, I shall tell you a huge secret that I haven't yet mentioned about ALL of the Teignmouth toilets, and address those comments that people have been so nice to have added to this thread - Laterzzz

I am hosting the Craft Beer Guy Covid Can Exchange tomorrow. People will come over with a couple 4-paks as admission, then we will draw numbers to see what order attendees will choose the beer they want, then everyone will pick a beer, in order until all beers have been.

The goal is to walk away with two mixed 4-paks.

I get the feeling there will only be about 10 participants, but I will see in 22 hours.

It was a great time. We had 14 people, 11 of which brought two 4-paks, the other three brought one.

For a first time event that none of us had ever attended, it went off quite smoothly.

Everyone wants me to do it again, and frequently.

On the bright side though, the party was OFF THE HOOK with a record breaking attendance, so we did get a chance to say goodbye to our old friend, in a memorable style that with go down in the history of the TTE club...
