Does anybody knows what kind of bandwidth XO is?

nicowest -

the XO pipe we have up in Utah sucks, but really you need to find someone that is in the same area that your colo is at and ask them. But our experiance with XO has been very high lat, and shitty support

i'd say it's probably regional. XO is probably very good in some regions and maybe lacking some good presence in others, just like most providers. it's probably in the middle quality and reputation-wise...

We used X0 some years back when they were concentric. POPS at SFO and LAX were decent, main strength in western region, id say its on par price performance w/ a verio, but nothing special.

Hi
Verio has not been used for many months.

All we are doing is dropping Cogent and replacing it with XO, it will be a "good" thing for our users.

We will still continue to use the other various providers we have been using for the past year , Williams , Aleron , MFN etc....

If anyolne has any questions feel free to hit me up.
[email protected]

Also coming this week....we will have $99 dedicateds with our superior support,so if anyone is stuck on those 99 boxes elswhere with no support...we have a fix for you

One of my system administrators was hooked up with XO in Chicago and all he's told me are horror stories about latency and uptime.

I think the shift from cogent to XO will be a good one - but take a look at webhostingtalk.com

No doubt that a switch from Cogent to XO will be teriffic for your customers. Also, I think there is good news lately about XO's finances which is very important to their longevity. Their network, as it's described on their website, looks quite impressive.

This is true... not to mention their support is terrible. We had a line with them and were literally 2 blocks from the backbone (on I88). They will also shut you off for stupid reasons.

and the kicker of them coming out of bankruptcy was all their shareholders lost everything. The prior stock became worthless.
