I wouldn't try timing the market, remember the wise words: time in the market beats timing the market. Which means just get skin in the game, tbh I would wait for next big drop to buy in, or buy small amounts now and larger amounts when we drop (there will always be drops all the way up), or maybe even DCA'ing.

But even before that I would recommend learning what Bitcoin is and whatever you choose to buy, if any, keep it in non custodial wallets.

That's awesome, I didn't know Coinbase has that feature (re: autobuys), others that have that are CashApp, SwanBitcoin.com & RiverFinancial. Autobuys is probably the best current way to invest in BTC for an average person, weekly/monthly autobuys at any rate for an amount the person can afford (with funds that won't be immediately needed).

It’s a ponzi because for the price to keep going up (faster than inflation) it needs new adopters. When there are no more new adopters, price flatlines.

A lot of smart people got in on this early and were great at advertising to suckers and mainstream buyers with FOMO to boost their money. For every person who is able to play the market and make money, there are a lot of normal medium to low income people who are buying the hype during price surges then losing money on the declines. Yes, there's institutional investors, but who do you think are buying the ETFs? For all the talks of virtue by the early bitcoin supporters, they are actually just using this as a wealth transfer mechanism from the working class to those smart enough to have gotten in early. At some point this mass insanity will stop and things will crash, but it will continue to go up before that happens and there is still lots of big easy money to be made.

If you're buying bitcoin, you need at least 0.28 bitcoin. Sooner you buy it the better. Doesn't matter if you buy it at 70k. Doesn't matter if it crashes to 20k. Because it will not stay at 20k.

You buy it and hold on to it. Only 1% of the worlds population will ever be able to own .28 bitcoin.

So if in the future bitcoin ends up being worth some ungodly amount. 0.28 is enough to make you wealthy.
