I went through a major depression back in 1996. And have since been through a bunch of shorter, more mild ones.

I turn 27 on Mon and I think i am going through a spell.

Plus i started thinking about my ex and all the memories just cam back as if it was yesterday

I've got a bottle of it, for just such occasions. I don't take it regularly like I should, but, I don't really get depressed all the time either.

I have been on paxil cr for the last few months. DOc gave me some Xanax also in emrgenctys situations

That happens to me in less than a month.. turning 27 that is.

as for the getting depression thing. It doesn't happen often... just once a.. uhm... week.

But hey, ya just bulldoze yer way through it. GFY isn't just something you tell someone else... you gotta tell it to yourself sometimes too

PS, Paxil is your friend, it helps your brain balance out the serotonin levels, it doesn't just hit you with it. Xanax is like shootin up on serotonin, which is great, but you can come off it pretty heavy if you use it "too much" and then stop.
Like he said, in case of emergency, but try not to if you can man.

I went from smoking 10 joints a day for 4 years and doing a little coke every now and a then....too doing nothing at all for the past 4 months....reality hit me pretty hard, and sometimes I have days where I dont even wanna leave the house....I think the drugs fucked my brain....nothing is very fun anymore now that im clean....

I think a lot of people who work with and around computers get depressed on a regular basis. Not sure why, perhaps it is like a small series or frustrations and successes, and if you don't get that steady flow of small successes the small failures and frustrations build up to something big.

Then again I'm no doctor and could be completely wrong.

When I get down (not necessarily depressed, just feeling in a rut) I either play music (I'm an amateur blues musician) or hit the gym.

Like I always say, "The blues aren't about feeling better, they're about making other people feel worse."
