I think a lot of people who work with and around computers get depressed on a regular basis. Not sure why, perhaps it is like a small series or frustrations and successes, and if you don't get that steady flow of small successes the small failures and frustrations build up to something big.
Then again I'm no doctor and could be completely wrong.
When I get down (not necessarily depressed, just feeling in a rut) I either play music (I'm an amateur blues musician) or hit the gym.
Like I always say, "The blues aren't about feeling better, they're about making other people feel worse."
