Considering starting an escort directory website

I'm thinking of starting an escort directory website like SkipTheGames or ListCrawler, but with more of a social media aspect where escorts can build and update a profile, get reviews, make contacts, etc. Does this sound viable?

Also, would anyone want to partner on this venture?

In the USA? Illegal as all hell now, why Craigslist quit taking dating posts and Backpage is property of the Feds. Even Eccie has ended their reign.

It would absolutely have to be based on an offshore server. That's what USASexGuide and USAAdultClassfieds did (they moved to the Netherlands). It's pretty easy to host it on a European server.

You have two people that never agree on anything finally agreeing on something.

Hosting in Europe won't keep you out of legal trouble if this is for US consumers.

I mean I know all the old "tricks" but they've proven to be very serious about this one. When Craigslist and Eccie run the other way it's time to take a second look.

But hey, the market is wide open.

Very good idea.. Amazing Idea. mostly people who use escort service spend a lot of time and give likes and share photos.

              Or not.
maybe just book it and forget it. and better not let anyone know about it.
Of course, SESTA / FOSTA restrictions as it is called ( no one remember). delete the entire US from the target.

No doubt about that. Problem is that unlike other things they are aggressively pursuing this one for whatever reason. I wouldn't touch it, especially if I ever planned to visit, own property in or especially live in the USA. You know taking down foreign servers and blocking all payments with some bullshit isn't beyond them.

This is true, and probably why there is such a vacuum. I wonder if it's possible to get around it by marketing it as some other type of social networking site... like social dating or something? Or is that still going to draw the wrong attention, kind of like Backpage did?

You should really look at the new law, it's one of the crazy ones. They actually made it so that the service provider is liable if any of their users post sex related services and they seem to be intent on enforcing it.
