Question for Network Gurus

Greetings, propellerheads. If someone can help me solve this problem I will show you my tits.

My default router gateway is 192.168. -->2<-- .1

I am trying to connect devices to the network that always end up with address like 192.168. -->1<-- .50

The devices don't seem to ever want to resolve to the correct IP address "2", and always use "1".

The makers of the device say to change my router's IP address. The ISP who provides service for that router, don't or won't provide that level of support.

Should I find Scarlette Johanson and insist this time that she make the pain go away (She always refuses me!), or is there another solution?

Thanks.

The router should be set to use DHCP and the devices to obtain the ip address automatically.. or am I missing something?

Check whats your broadcast ip, some ISP broadcast ip is different from what your internal IP.

The ISP i use have actually two broadcast ip´s and a third for the network IP

If it’s your isp router it’s usually 10.0.0.1 or.something. Buy another router and connect that to the main router. Then everything will be in the 192.168 range. Log into the router and assign it an ip address and lock it in. Log into the device and set to static.
