How can you speak if indignity of DJs when you worked the intern job? Did you have to sweep up before you closed too? ;)

That in itself is indignity.

I have college radio dj friend who play the most satanic, evil shit you can imagine, THAT is freedom of speech.

Years ago we couldnt have done that, now my friends and I are able to spread the word throughout campus' all over the US.

Ultimately, you would be correct if it were any other issue BUT radio or tv. The airwaves belong to the citizenry...we simply allow companies to use them...

No it's still correct.

What is illegal about manintaining friendship with radio personalities you DID go to school with? Where do you think I met my friends?

Sure I still hang on to some old friends, and ALL my friends are active in the music business some kind of way dude, either broadcasting, record stores, engineers, you name it.

Its the only people Ive ever hung out with. Before high school, I was hanging with musicians since I was a kid dude, thats all I know.

;)

FATPad 05-06-2003 12:28 PM

He's Canadien? hehe.

Shouldn't you be off freeing your own radio and tv stations from the evil clutches of the Canadien govt, Mr Popup?

A guy with govt controlled media saying radio stations can't fire employees because it infringes on freedom of speech and thought. HAHAHA

This thread is funny.

no problem. man if i talk about music and shit too much its because thats all i know. i am very lucky and blessed to have grown up the way I did, and where I did surrounded and buried in Jazz and Blues i moved out to Hollywood to work in recording studios, all my friends I have made here for the past 5 years are ALL industry related. At 26, I have been able to meet and work with some of the very people I looked up to as a kid holding records and listening to them in the headphones hiding beer from my mom dude, I dont mean to sound like I brag, honestly. I just am oproud of what I have done and my accomplishments no matter how small they may seem to some.

There are not any wider implications, as has been pointed out by the many. As is usual, it is just your wrong headed thinking that leads you to believe that there are wider implications. You and Massivecock...Webby...Wonton...and some others, are just fringe elements (kooks).

Maybe so, and obviously in your opinion it was stupid, but that has absolutely nothing to do with free speech. Get a grip. The owner of the radio station has freedom of speech to play or NOT to play whatever he wants... the employees (djs) have to listen because it's their job. Simple. You're just an instigator who believes that everything that you don't agree with is an attack on your freedom, rights or beliefs. That is simply wierd for you to always think that.

"We"? "Allow"?

In the US, frequency rights are licenced to radio stations. If you think the citizenry owns the radio waves try broadcasting at high power on the frequency of a local station and see what happens. You can be assured you have no recourse witha radio station because you think you OWN anything.
