Thanks for the support and encouragement! We are definitely going to be"passing the hat" quite a bit on this... We are looking for suggestions on fundraising, other industry-wide challenges that the group should face, and for ways to benefit those that participate in the group to make it more than worthwhile to support us.

Open to suggestions and feedback...

My suggestions (some I've given you in email):

1. A fraud database for adult webmasters. Charge a small fee for 'membership'. Each time one of us has a chargeback, a bounced check, etc, we can submit it -- with proof -- to the database.

2. Have an attorney on the team who is familiar with 18 USC 2257 to give definitive answers. We see waaaaaaaaay too many people giving legal opinions, legal advise, and quoting so-called attornies, but each opinion differs.

3. Central database of software protection scripts. As you and I recently discussed, someone released a script that (as he proudly boasted) could steal feeds from sites to mirror them on other sites. You were able to come up with a script to block this within 24 hours, I believe. There needs to be a sharing of ideas like this, so we can help each other and stop the theft, fraud, etc.

4. For the membership, offer DMCA assistance (ala APIC). Instead of reading "hey, you fucking moron, take my pictures off your site" on boards, it would be much nicer if people simply used the law to their advantage and filed DMCA notices when they find infringement of their copyrights. Share the sites with stolen content with all of us.

5. Password trafficking is illegal (http://www.usdoj.gov/criminal/cybercrime/reporting.htm). Have a database where we all can report password-trading sites, chat networks, etc. Have a team assembled to report it and get the sites shut down. This type of theft affects all adult webmasters with paysites.

How about a party at convention time with donations for the party and to enter.

Have companys donated products ect for a silent action. You could do that at a party or do it online

Set up an pay pal account at this new organization "s website where folks can donate money.

How about offering various levels of membership?

In addition to supporting a worthy cause, perhaps higher partner payouts, and discounted pricing (feeds, content, scripts) could be negotiated for the members.

The bulk of the suggestions seemed focused protecting webmaster from consumers and password trading. I thought you wanted to clean up our image, I think those who want to be a member have to run their business with responsiblity. Means no graphic pics on free sections of a site, no extreme sites that give the impression of abusing women (example meatholes)no promises of 50,000 pics but there really is 500 pics and trials that bang the customer for forty dollars 15 minutes into the trial. Cant make promises to the customer that arent not real. To protect children from porn on the net and to put pressure on those that arent responsible with their business because it affects us all.

Woah, slow down Tony. Are you the moral police? I hope you're aware that the people in those sites are actors, and are being paid for what they do. How do you propose a group stops people from lying on their sites? Complain to the uplink provider? The ISP? Get a secret group of hacker/script kiddies to put up a banner across the site that say LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE?

The 'no sex on tours' is from a legal standpoint and while I agree 1000%, a group of people can not 'clean up' the image of porn. Even if 50% of the adult webmasters participate, that still leaves what, 30 million sites out there that don't give a damn?

Our first concern should be protecting ourselves so we can stay in the business. If we allow password-trading sites and fraudsters to continue, it will ruin too many legitimate sites/webmasters.

As I see it, our job will not be to censor the industry, but rather to form codes of conduct that are conducive to giving members a level of professionalism and ethical conduct that consumers can come to appreciate and recognize as being responsible and fair.

We are not going to tell people what to do. We want to protect the industry from broad attacks that would affect us all... as in the Acacia matter, and we want to create a "Golden Rule" of good conduct, doing unto others as we would have done unto ourselves.

I think there is some excellent feedback going on here and I thank all of you for throwing in your two cents...
