Tube Site: Keywords And Their Importance

I'm writing titles/desc + keywords and categories for videos on a tube site. Just wondering if efforts tagging videos ultra specifically will work in my favor long term?

Do you think google cares less about putting tag URLs in the results? I do get traffic from them, but I find myself putting tags in takes up the time of writing three videos title/description.

I guess I already answered my question: Depends. Try and see. Etc.

I guess being ultra specific will enhance the user experience. So there I go again answering my own question.

I've done a lot of work reverse engineering Bing and Google and working out how they rank certain terms in certain circumstances on certain types of content.

In fact I have a continually running model that compares rankings against the three largest porn tubes.

The answer to your question, in my opinion, is no.

So that's a no to: If it will work out favorably long term if I use ultra specific keywords, if at all?

Thanks kindly.

If you use a tool like ahrefs you will see that more and more tube sites gain from a large number of a very wide selection of longer tail terms than specific short terms. Site names and urls are less visible to the ranking algorithms because they don't lead people to what they actually want.

What you need to understand is that what works in safe search does not work with safe search off, because safe search introduces biases into ranking that don't exist with safe search off.

Most keyword analysis tools can't pick up on those biases, you need to test for them.

I can also rely upon the search terms that I see used by the people who use my own search engine. I have a microscopic market use Node.XXX however it's a good representative sample and without giving any secrets away most users that may result in a click are searching for very specific things, thus longer tails.

I just did a simple search "pantyhose videos".

The #1 result is https://www.xnxx.com/tags/pantyhose
The #2 result is https://www.xvideos.com/tags/pantyhose

Does this answer your question?

Unless you're doing SEO for one of the top 10 tubes then short tails like this, forget it. The biggest factor in the ranking of these two is eyeballs/brand/etc

A smaller tube needs different strategies.

Smaller tubes do need different strategies. Perhaps ranking for more niche keywords.

The general term was used to demonstrate the importance of tags and tag pages in results.

Agreed.

One thing that shouldn't be overlooked now is that it's not only your text that's being indexed anymore. Think on that one.
