Whether its impenetrable or not, I disagree with the wall politically. Therefore, it won't be built. And I predict non-white migrants and refugees will be able to come here of their own free will, forever.

I just wonder how can the USA possibly compensate them when they realize they've been tricked by racists into throwing themselves into a snake pit of the most vile, seethingly, abjectly racist country on the face of the planet earth. Can you even put a dollar value on that level of offense? I agonize for them, and I wish there was a way to warn them of what they're getting themselves into, so they can make a more informed decision.

Are Americans ready to pay for the cost of unregulated migration?

We've never had this wall before you old senile fuck. This wall has nothing to do with unregulated migration. Most illegal immigrants here overstayed their fucking visa.

Further, the USA and many other first world countries relies on immigration to continue functioning since our birth rates are declining. Can pay for the old, entitled ass boomers like you without some new blood adding to the tax pool.

The new wall would be much taller and much harder to get over.

But kid yourself... They will find a way to get over the wall...

I never mentioned the Wall, it's just one more measure that's needed to slow down illegal migration.

The rest of your argument is bullshit.

Birth rates need to decline as manual labour moves over to machines.

Pay is regulated by the money employers pay to employees. Not by the number of people being paid. Over the last 40 years incomes have stagnated, slumped or disappeared for most. This is why tax revues are falling short of what governments need to raise to spend on ever growing welfare costs.

Paul that's a good question. You're very astute and intelligent young man with a keen gift of foresight to point this out. I'm perfectly OK with Americans paying for all this unregulated migration, as long as everyone else pays for it except me.

Nothing against our beloved visitors. Its just I have a conscientious objection because, when it comes to such things being paid for out of my pocket, I just don't agree with that politically. So I should be exempt, as my reward for first not agreeing with the wall politically.

If crooks liked Trump didn't hire illegals they wouldn't come here. It is a Federal crime to hire illegals, but Reagan stopped enforcing that law to protect big business.

Funny how the cult followers obsess about illegals and a wall yet are crickets when it comes to that. Guess they're too stupid to add 2+2.

We don't have unregulated migration you piece of shit.

We have thousands of border agents patrolling at our border, always have.

We have 857 miles of border wall already.

This has been explained to you, by me, so many fucking times the last 3 years.

Please just shut the fuck up you ignorant fuck wit and stop spreading lies about my country, purposely to fit your narrow minded hateful agenda.

The main reason for unregulated migration is to keep wages down so CEOs can look good, get huge pay rises and keep shares prices booming.

There are 1,000s of companies that now rely on the over supply of labour and millions of workers and unemployed who rely on welfare to meet the lowest living costs. Within 20 years you will see huge swathes of jobs literally disappear. Drivers will be the worse as automated cars, vans, lorries, coaches, trains remover the need for a human to guide. Already companies like McDonalds are automating their fast food outlets, soon a machine will take your order. Online shopping is taking millions of jobs, with warehouses equipped with machines replace high street shops.

And if you think new jobs will spring up to replace the old ones, go tell that to the people who lost coal mining, car making, clothing, ship building, etc and are still waiting for new jobs to appear. Employers are not installing machines to create new costly jobs elsewhere.

Pretty much everything you say is wrong. The problem with our government is too many old ass fuckers like you with old ass ideas running things. There should be an age cutoff of 50 to be allowed to hold any office in the government, because people who have a couple years left on the planet aren't trying to move things forward. They want it to stay exactly the way it is. Stop saying things because your brain is turning to dust.

IMO spend the wall money on programs that have a better return on investment on stopping illegal immigration. Better laws to handle those who knowingly hire illegals would be good too.

Trump used red state contractors from Alabama, Mississippi, Arizona & Maryland for those prototypes. Each one got around $500,000 each to build a 6 foot long 18-30 feet high prototype.

You know Trump is getting kickbacks from this porkbelly project. Imagine how much of a kickback he'll get from $5 billion.

I think those prototypes are off the table, as Trump knows it will be impossible to get the funds to build it in those styles. At least it seems he has decided to just replace and add new/better wall/fencing like the steel slates with spikes on top. The pic he tweeted out, didn't look like any of the 4 solid prototype walls they were testing. I suppose if he can figure out a way for the Dept of Defense to build it and use funds that way, you might see a return of one of the 4 prototypes he had tested.

A country with open borders would have unregulated immigration. America does not have unregulated immigration.

America does not have unregulated migration as citizens are allowed to travel within our country freely.

Every Western country I know of has unregulated migration.

We have H2A visas for immigrants to come here temporarily to work in the fields.

Maybe look at countries that have/ had walls, Say the Berlin wall or Israel's wall

But specifically look at the statistics of those killed and have died crossing that wall, what we know is that these walls need to have a guard with a machine gun about every 100 feet, you need to openly slaughter any groups approaching these walls, .. And even then, people get over or under them daily.

Republicans are all about whataboutisam and I've seen the Berlin and West Bank walls are frequently used as examples that work, where as neither work without significant military back up and living firing on civilians, resulting in thousands of deaths.

So show us the proof that wages have risen across all percentiles in the last years. Then the new jobs that replaced those were lost as industries automated and globalised.

And then the millions of new jobs that illegal migrants were paid a good wage to fill.

The only reason for illegal migrants is to keep wages down. This does not include legal migrants who do contribute. The hidden costs of those illegal migrants are the jobs they take from Americans of all colours, the forcing down of wages, the social costs like housing, education, healthcare, policing, etc.

The unemployment rate captures the number of unemployed people as a share of the labor force. But it doesn’t tell you anything about people who stopped looking for work a month ago or more. This group has effectively dropped out of the labor force.
https://www.foreignpolicyjournal.com...omic-recovery/
Quote:
However, the low rate of unemployment is contradicted by the long-term decline in the labor force participation rate. After a long rise during the Reagan 1980s, the labor force participation rate peaked in January 1990 at 66.8 percent, more or less holding to that rate for another decade until 2001 when decline set in accelerating in September 2008.
In America you have two rates of unemployment. One for those who recently lost their jobs and still searching and the real one containing those who have given up looking.

And show us the American Dream so many Americans aspired to in the 70s and 80s is still alive today.

If you can. But you can't so stop the bullshit.

Bingo!!!! If they really were serious, it would be if you hire illegals you go to jail and then actually do it. Then it would become a non-issue real quick. But Trump hires illegals so that really doesnt work.

It would be good if ICE spending was increased and when caught the illegals were given the option of going back home or going into a prison camp, separated from children who need to go to a secure centre built for children.

Then huge fines immediately enforced on employers and landlords.

If only your government had the will to enforce such measures.

Anyone questioning the real costs of illegal migrants need only look at this page to see how many illegal migrants cost the country for child birth. https://cis.org/Report/Births-Legal-...-Immigrants-US

Now add the costs of educating those children. No one should be allowed to migrate to a new country without medical insurance.

The hidden costs are ones you don't see at first site. However they are there. Stagnation of wages hits in so many ways, customers can't afford to buy so much, tax revenues fall, welfare rises, real unemployment, housing shortages, education, healthcare, etc. Saying that the more people paying in equals the more raised is stupid. The governing factor is what's in the wage packet, not the number of packets.

All these things are hidden from you.

And how is it stupid to prevent drug cartels and child sex traffickers from doing their thing? Oh right the Dems are in favor of crime as long as they get new voters

Immigration is regulated in America Paul.

A country with open borders would have unregulated immigration. America does not have unregulated immigration.

America does have unregulated migration as citizens are allowed to travel within our country freely.

Every Western country I know of has unregulated migration.

We have H2A visas for immigrants to come here temporarily to work in the fields.
So illegal migrants are now being regulated.

Hey JSwenson:

See that big round pipe on top? They ain't climbing over it. The $20 billion expense will save taxpayers money by reducing the $120 Billion we pay every year for services to non-citizens here illegally.

You don't know the difference between immigrant and migrant even after I took the time to explain it to you. Own your ignorance.

Clearly you're reading comprehension has gone downhill.

You're so far gone you don't know how far gone you are. Sad

Who will fund the maintenance ?
Who will search for tunnels under it ?
Who will monitor that nobody does climb it ?

The wall has become a symbol of stupidity !

If anyone wants to stop this, spend $10M and prosecute those that hire them.
It will end in 90 days. You will be able to lay-off those border patrol folks and save about $100M

To late for that since the republicans grant work access as a private contractor / 1099-s
Perhaps ? You can change that too because it is a license to go around the wall. All legal like. All because nobody wants to work those fields for less than minimum wage... go figure !

Don't worry, you will still be able to get your e coli infected lettuce from workers shitting in the fields since we still have a NAFTA under a new name.

For years here in California we asked for Federal funding for border security band to repair the existing wall and for YEARS the GOP refused to fund border security.

Now that Trump promised to build a wall the Republican Congress has refused to fund it four times.

The GOP doesn't give a shit about border security they like the cheap labor and having impoverished shadow society.

As much time and energy Paul is spending trying to convince people in a country he doesn't live in how much we need a wall you would think he owns the company that's going to build it.

I'm thinking Paul got desperate and rented his account out for a few bucks. he doesn't even know the difference between an immigrant and a migrant.

If the border was only 75 miles, it could make some sense to at least put up something to restrict the easy access.
But the border is 2000 miles long.
If you were to build such a thing, sucessfully, and make it rat proof (tunnel), you would have a new fight on your hands on water and coastal areas.
It's a no win situation.
You can only manage it to some extent.

The 2 lager factors you need to deal with is why are they leaving where they are and why is it attractive to come here.
Attack it at those 2 sources.

This is as bad as the war on drugs. Can't win playing it this way.
You just spend lots of money where that in itself becomes a corruptible problem.

If the democrat's had any brains, they would give 5B for border security and allow POTUS to spend it as he wishes. Then he can take the blame for it.

Can you even put a dollar value on that level of offense? I agonize for them, and I wish there was a way to warn them of what they're getting themselves into, so they can make a more informed decision.
Looks like someone is butthurt

Why do Trump supporters pretend we don't have 857 miles of wall & thousands of border patrol agents at the border already?

Trump shuts down American government over Christmas for border wall he promised Mexico would pay for. The height of stupidity

I hope a lot of those half million government employees that are work furloughed and working for free over the holidays are Trump supporters

Trump didn't shut down the government. It's the Democrats who are causing problems.

And of course many federal workers are Trump supporters. They'll be happy to get a paid vacation or work and get paid later. They can afford to have some money in savings, they'll be fine.
