If that's what you are going for then yes it's a good idea. I'm from the south and although we didn't have seperate proms I remember some segregation shit put on us by the school from Jr. High etc. Mind you I said from the school, not the students.

I don't know how it is in the rest of the US but if you were born and raised in the south it might change how you look at things involving race and explain some of the racist stuff that goes on.

Yes and the term Democracy is a greek word which if you research you will see meant equal representation and rights amongst 'men'. Men meaning male landowners or basically "ruling class men". Men did not mean 'human beings'.

They still have it now, but there are people more commonly spread out now.

There were no people of other races to integrate with where I grew up, so it was a non-issue.

I spent the first 11 years of my life in England, and I could count on one hand the number of black people I saw. I've met 30-40 year olds from smaller towns in N England and Scotland who've still never seen a real, live black person.

Spent the next 5 years in Upstate NY, and I think there were 2-3 black dudes in our high school of 1500.

Then we moved to the SF Bay Area... what a change.. lol.

Yes but sometimes that is just personal preference. I'm not racist but most of my friends were white. Just a personal choice, I had nothing in common with most people of other races. What I'm talking about is the racist shit that goes on from our own government, etc.

For instance, affirmative action. If you can't see the reason people would get pissed over this issue I don't know what to say.
