1 week to The rest of your life depending on density.

Ya can stop calling yourself newbie after at least $100k in the bank.
And don't forget the Mercedes or some other high priced car in your garage.

You stop being a newbie after either sending your first bulk mail, shave your first click/signup, hitbotted your first click through sponsor, cheated your first pay per signup sponsor fby offering the surfer free access to one of your site if they join this other site...

nah, actually, as a wise (maybe sometime delerious?) Russian once said "Newbie is a state of the mind..."

when one isn't considered a newbie, is generally a relative issue. for it isn't material wealth that determines one's status, it is the knowledge he possesses. quite typically however, society tends to morph our perspectives upon material weath and knowledge, as being the same entity. but there are those whom possess great knowledge, yet regard materialism as insignificant, hence they are materialistically poor.

But who the hell would have enough knowledge to make decent money, and just keep learning, but not actually use any of the methods?

I think the amount of money someone is making is kind of a meter of how knowledgeable they are.

thats true, but not quite...

i'm a pretty good example.. and i know others... and mainly, its all because of lazieness. im a good designer, i've managed a paysite/affiliate prog, i know exactly what to do but i'm just fuckin lazy. but thats partly cause i dont have the startup money, lol. but i've had plenty of projects that could have been successful but i quit on it cause of lack of interest / motivation. i know a few others like that too, i dont know how often this occurs amongst people.. but it does for me.

What if we knew the program owners before we started promoting them?

The day you cease to have anything left to learn is the day you are no longer a newbie - and also the day you should get out of the biz cuz it's over for you.
As the business is constantly changing and evolving at breakneck speed, there are always new things to learn and new ways to do old things. So if you think there aren't and you've got it all down, you've already been left behind.

You just said that the day there is nothing left to learn is the day you're not a newbie anymore, but then you said that since the biz is evolving all the time, there's always more to learn. So...everyone is always a newbie forever?

At first I thought you had a great answer, but then I remembered that some people luck out with some gimmick and can make some cash, without really learning a lot or expanding their business. I know I started that way.

Yeah. Just cause you're making $500 a month more than your friends who are working at Arby's is no reason to say you're not a newb any more.

not a newbie when:

A: You are no longer experimenting with pop-up sponsors.
B: When you earn enough to live your life on the porn income.

"those whom possess great knowledge, yet regard materialism as insignificant, hence they are materialistically poor."

Thats just an excuse, sort of like the professors in college trying to teach business when they don't know how to run a business themselves.

True skills comes from experience AND knowledge.

If you just have knowledge, you are still useless.
If you just have experience and no knowledge, your still useless.

IF you have both, you'll be rich and god.

People who think they are smart and still haven't made shit are just stupid and book smart with good memorization skills.
