Pay per email -- Payout Question

How much is the MINIMUM payout you would want from a pay per email program? Same features as the established pay per email programs--no deductions.

Will it affect your decision if webmaster referrals are paid out at 50% of the direct sales pay out? [eg. if payout is 50 cents per email, webmaster referrals get paid 25 cents]

I'm not in the biz for referrals. I would prefer a higher signup payout and lower referral payout

hmmmm, every time I run a test sign up for FTC or FEB it always shows up. I guess what you mean by "shave" is when the email confirmation server goes down?

Okay, on TGP traffic, if they converting better than 1:20 then I would take 75cents per sign up.

If it were 1:3-5 i might even consider 25cents.

Yes, or database failures, network outages...
I beta tested a large pay-per-email program a few years ago as they were setting it up, with no shave. I made crazy cash. Tried the same traffic, with the same company (and many others as well) a few years later and went from up to 1000 e-mails a day to about 1 or 2. I was disappointed as the checks I was getting pre-shave bought a lot of toys. Now I am selling them all.
I am SUCH a fucking loser.

Good points made guys, I still need more feedback.

So lets say the system generates signups on a 1:10 basis...whats the MINIMUM you would take?

How about 1:30

1:100 ?

I can understand this payout if your ratio is 1:100 or something outrageous like that

But if a program is consistent at 1:20 or less, shouldn't this count re discounting payout? You make more money.

Event at a quarter: for every 100 uniques -- you make 1.25 as opposed to $1 at a convert rate of 1:100

Let me know, guys.

I don't think it has anything to do with the company or your traffic. "A few years later" is a lot in the world of pay-per-email. Even if it's only a year later, the markets gets super saturated real quick.

You said you were sending up to 1000 emails a day. Say the average webmaster sent 100 emails a day.

100/day X 365 days = 36,500 emails
36,500 emails x 100 webmasters = 3,650,000 emails

and those are conservative estimates

On the email program I'm pushing, my ratio is consistently better than 1:10. Actually, it's usually around 1:5. And I'm getting 1.10 per email, no deductions.
If you can top that payout while converting at the same ratio, I'd go with your program.

So you're saying that all wegcash guys get this ratio? I get the same ratio at FEB but I can't say that it would be the same for everyone.

All of the email programs claim to have 1 in 10, 1 in 20 type conversions. So if you're paying 25 cents a pop for emails and it converts 1 in 10 nobody's going to send you traffic.

I don't know exactly what you think you're going to do to make a program convert 4 times better than WEG, CE, FEB, or anyone else's program. I'm pretty sure the folks that run those programs know a thing or two about conversions.

If a paysite converts 1 in 1000 and pays $35 per join, that's 3.5 cents per click. For a $1 email program to pay the same amount for the same traffic it would have to convert at 1 in 28.5, and that's a program paying $1 per.

Key word is "Claim" Its hard to claim 1:10 across a whole network with many differing traffic sources, etc.

I am not really asking for webmasters to ditch WegCash or other big players for my upcoming program, all I'm asking is what is the minimum they would want in terms of payout for them to put me in "rotation" or in the "mix" of their current sponsors.

I am confident that once "in the mix" the results will speak for itself.

nope, they shaved me. Plain and simple. Not a big deal, I just didn't think they would shave that much. If you think pay per e-mail companies don't shave you should examine your trusting soul.

so they're shaving 998-999 of the 1000 emails you were still sending years later?

if they convert 1:20 and I make a buck I would soon quit sending traffic not take a discount.
