Hey Mark Prince...You Might Like This Trump Idea
I am watching Trump speak at the Iowa rally on television.
And he just revealed for the first time a plan he has for "The Wall". He told the crowd that he's working on design for it and is looking at possibly making it a SOLAR wall to generate electricity. I don't know if that's even feasible because of the expense of solar panels...or if a project that big could actually lower prices on solar panels. But in my opinion...Trump has a brilliant idea there. He joked with the crowd that with his idea the wall would make money by generating electricity so it wouldn't cost Mexico quite so much money. lol He also joked that the beauty of it if it's solar would be that the higher the wall, the more valuable it will be. |

I was kinda surprised when he said it. I had never even considered such a thing as a solar "Wall" on the border.
I guess that's why he's a billionaire and I'm not. |

Someone forgot to tell Trump and his cult that walls are vertical.
Not to mention the southern side would have to be the side the panels are on, I'm sure the nice Mexicans will not only pay for this but will keep the panels clean. |

The United States Federal Government owns one quarter of all land in the United States. (Research for Robbie.) If the Federal Government wanted to build to solar farms, they could surely do it - and do it in a place that doesn't have the inherent security issues the US border has. Trump promised us a wall and promised us we wouldn't have to pay for it. This obviously isn't going to happen, so now he is trying to sell us on this "solar" wall. Suckers.

From an engineering standpoint, I wonder if this would work or not. The cost of the solar panels would be irrelevant because they generate electricity and pay for themselves. How narrow is the wall? I have no idea what the specs are but I'll say it's .. what... 20 feet? Every solar panel installation I've seen is square, meaning it takes up alot of room along the X and Y axis. If Trump put panels on the wall they would all be inline with each other I assume. I think that if the panels were inline, that it just might not be an efficient use of space. Trump would have to make his wall much wider to make electricity from solar panels efficient enough to cover the cost.

One little problem: The solar panels would be on the US side of the wall -- the north side. d'Oh ... It is a border wall ...

Why is Trump running around campaigning 6 months into his term when he has work to do? He's more worried about PR and trying to get high fives from his retarded fan base than doing his fucking job.
What has Trump done in 6 months other than dig his own hole? Not a single piece of legislation, no wall, no budget for his wall.. He hasn't fixed Obamacare, Can't get his own team to work together in Congress and now he has Russia threatening to shoot down US aircraft and he's pushing military into conflicts all over the place.. ...but of course Robbie with his blinders on believes his latest batch of lies. Sucker born every minute..

Bladewire, i like you. You are pretty cool. I would like to point out that you do get triggered and meltdown the most. I'm not trying to be a dick. Josuah g ais second, crocket and mark prince photo finish for a tie at 3rd, barry 4th, baddog and rochard tied for 5th but I wouldnt quite call them meltdowns, but an animated point. Robbie keeps it level for the most part. Full disclosure, i'd be up there with bladewire if I were still having 3-5 beers a day. So I'm not excluding myself from this most prestigious wack pack. It's fun. I may hit the bottle fri night & get in character.

Robbie,
Solar panels, free tesla charging stations along the wall, and a tesla can charge via induction by a special road on top of the wall which will also become an interstate highway for teslas. There is no way mark prince would turn that down. That's like a minnow in front of a big bass. Fish on |

So you're comparing the width of the walls in your house to a border wall? The Great Wall of China is 20 feet wide at the base and 16 feet wide at the top. I'll stop now because this feels like making fun of a retarded kid. |

Hey rocket scientist. How do you propose getting all that power back to a "usable" area when most of the US/Mexico boarder is far away from any cities or current power grids? Also how do you intend to stop crack heads from going out stealing these solar panels or all the low voltage wiring and selling the copper? This whole thing just shows you red hats & Trump have no real basis in reality or have any idea of what your fucking talking about. Not even to mention the issues with keeping the panels cleaned being they would be on top of a what is it 20 or 30ft high wall? What was Trump's latest claims on how high it would be? You guys are literally as dumb as stoners who have grand ideas when you're high.. I can see the thinking behind this.. Trumps like "come on guys give me an idea I have all these plans about the wall but the damn liberals are shooting me down. What can we do to make them have to like it? Sean Spicy: " we can plant bushes in front of it and call it green space and I can hide behind it from the reporters" Trump: Come on, Spicy, you know I don't like trees, what would my coal guys think if I said I'm planting trees. I mean jeez I don't even let my kid play out side what are you thinking..Didn't you see that movie where the trees kill everyone Spicy? What a PR disaster that would be... Trump: "oh wait I got it, we get Elon to get us some solar panels to put on top..He's their guy the liberals can't say no to that.. Spicey, why am I even paying you?' Sessions: Good idea boss, you are the best! Devoes: Great idea boss we can pay for it by cutting school lunches and science class! |

I was simply giving an example of a 20 foot wide wall to Rochard, who said he had never seen one. I'm dubious as to the viability of any wall on the US/Mexican border, much less a solar paneled one. I admire you sticking up for your hype man. Loyalty is an admirable trait! |

I've driven into Mexico dozens of times and I've seen the wall in person. It's a wall. It's not like it's twenty feet thick and the width of solar panels. Even if they were it still doesn't matter - you really want to put billions of dollars of solar panels physically on the border where illegal aliens, drug mules, smugglers, and other criminals are trying to get through? I am sure they will be gentle as they try to scale the wall and not break our expensive solar panels. This is utterly the dumbest idea ever.

They could always use a portion of the power generated to electrify it so no one would try to scale it or touch it. . |

It's clear you guys have zero clue of what is involved with solar to see this as even remotely feasible. There is a reason solar panels are grouped together in small power farms located "close" to existing power grids and not lined up side by side for miles and miles... Solar is collected using DC power not AC. DC power requires larger copper wires for moving the power and it's not great at moving large distances. It needs to be short runs until it's converted to AC or stored/used locally.. DC is for localized power not for transferring power across miles of miles of desert land in the middle of no where.. Also that wall is a horrible design, by 12pm the lower grouping of panels would be almost completely useless likely even before 12PM. Any amount of shade on a solar panel, even just a corner drastically reduces their power output. Last, that wall is ridiculously easy to scale.. A rope with a grapple hook and you are over it in less than 30 seconds.. Throw the grapple hook over the top edge, climb to the top and set the grapple hook on the lower edge to climb down the other side. Or a 20-30ft aluminum ladder..

What Trump's solar border wall could look like - Business Insider I never said this was a good or bad idea. I just posted a picture of how it might look and suggested that they could electrify it if they do go ahead with it. And sure Mexicans could sit there in the middle of the desert and throw rocks at it all day long if they want to. They could also get on rooftops in the Mexican side of a border town and use a rifle to snipe people on the American side. . |
