I don't know if that's even feasible because of the expense of solar panels...or if a project that big could actually lower prices on solar panels.

The United States Federal Government owns one quarter of all land in the United States. (
Research for Robbie.) If the Federal Government wanted to build to solar farms, they could surely do it - and do it in a place that doesn't have the inherent security issues the US border has.
Trump promised us a wall and promised us we wouldn't have to pay for it. This obviously isn't going to happen, so now he is trying to sell us on this "solar" wall.
