Use a good video camera and a decent capture card (pref. firewire) instead if you're looking for quality.

I use a Philips ToUCam Pro which reaches up to 60 frames per second, which isn't bad at all.

3COM Homeconnect is by far the best. Although doesnt work on XP and discontinued. You need to buy it in Ebay.
