OK I'm getting sick of all the fucking political debating on here, even though it's toned down. Basically, it's not just for conservatives, but liberals too. I think that alot of us ignore our true feelings and try to stay loyal to a party or an ideal when thinking about something like war. It's just what we've been brought up to do. It should be your ideals that determines what party you vote for, not your party that determines your ideals.

First off I'd like to address all the pro-war conservatives. First, honestly consider the motives for this war. I don't think that most people can truly say that the USA is doing this just for our safety or to liberate the Iraqi's. You have to admit that the people in power are a bunch of greedy fucks who want to get rich. Your party likes to focus on results and ignore real motives. You may deny it, but it's true.

Now for the anti-war liberals. I think that most people are anti-war. War is hell, most veterans will agree with that. Nobody can say that a better society will not have less wars and that the ideal society has no wars at all. It's all a matter of looking at things realistically. I'm 100% socialist anarchist. War, in my opinion is an evil thing that only reflects the fact that our current political system sucks ass. Because of this, I was against war in Iraq. I was so intent on pointing out the crooked motives of the Bush administration that I didn't think about what the war would really do. Far left people like to point out how we're not free and that we should liberate ourselves before taking out other countries. My party's put out countless videos about how the US has been fucking the Iraqi people for so long because of their attitude toward Saddams regime. The videos fail to mention the conservatives argument that Saddam is also treating his own people like shit and it's because of him that the US policy came about.

Now, I want all you anti-war people to think for a second. You want the US to be more free, so you won't support anything they do. You claim to be compassionate, but have any of you thought about the Iraqi citizens? How would they feel if you decided you didn't want to liberate them just because you don't support Bush? Is you staying loyal to your party really worth letting Saddam abuse his people when they desperately need a change? If I was an Iraqi and you said you wouldn't support war because you're anti-USA, I'd call you a selfish idealistic fucktard.

I'll admit, I always acted like one of those fucktards, and alot of other people around here do too. Bottom line is that as long as people are divided like that, we need both liberals and conservatives. We need idealistic liberals to keep forcing society to progress. Maybe they don't think their goals are being attained, but they're doing their part. We need conservatives to keep things running. They live in the past, but if the other half is thinking too far ahead, we need people to think behind to even it out. If they had total control our government would never progress. If lefties had total control there'd be nobody running things and keeping us alive.

So I ask all of you, next time you're thinking about shooting your mouth off, think of the results AND the motives and decide which is more important. Conservatives, don't say it's cool to open sweat shops because of free trade. Liberals, don't try to stop free trade completely because some countries could use the money, as long as they don't end up being abused.

Even Marx said a communist revolution can never work. We need to spend generations and generations progressing and evolving. Everyone just try and do your part and make your generation as good as possible. Teach your kids to progress and change their generation appropriately.

AND THATS MY FUCKING RANT FOR THE EVENING. LETS START A FUCKING FLAME WAR!!!!

The thing is, are they really free now? Maybe they will be better off under a bush and co installed/appointed govt, maybe. A lot of their real troubles were the result of the sanctions during the last dozen years. Wouldnt it have been better for us to have helped them help themselves? Isnt that what conservatives usually claim is best? Dont you see how this pre-emptive strike stuff is an extremely dangerous precedent? What if other countries start taking the same attitude and attacking/invading others based on no evidence but because of what they MIGHT do later? Think about the precedent that has been set now.
And in any event, they aint going to be free under whatever puppet govt gets installed.

I'm not defending the sanctions in any way. In my opinion the USA and Saddam have probably done equal damage. I never supported a preemptive strike, but once they did they opened up a huge can of worms. At that time, if they pulled out like his dad did, noone would have won. The people would still be dealing with Saddams oppression and the oppression they got as a result of our sanctions. I'm not saying they're truly free now, not at all. But think, if a situation left you starving and it was up to another country to decide whether you were left for dead or given just enough to live each day, you'd want the food. Even if the country had the power to give you alot more, you'd take what you can get. Protesting DURING a war when the options are pretty much do no good like the first one or at least make the peoples lives a little better, make their lives better.
