register business in US from Canada... legally and professional... advice wanted!

I am looking for a legal way, not necessarily the cheapest, to register and/or incorporate a business in the US to be able to use a third party processor. I'm not looking to be shady, but completely in the open and upfront.

Any and all tips are welcomed. I've read that the 2 states I should look to registering are Delaware and Nevada. If anyone, or has anyone been in my situation and successfully setup a biz in the US without any hassle? Who would you recommend to do all the paperwork, etc.

Contact the guys at www.adultinternetlaw.com . If you are not on a very tight budget and you want it done right then have them do it for you - properly!

They are completely up to speed and experienced in exactly what you are looking to do.

Daymare,

I am in Canada, and went with adultinternetlaw.com. I think you will find that if you try to go through a Canadian lawyer or group to help you with this, they will not have the expertise and will simply have an American lawyer do all the work - possibly someone who is not familiar with the exact requirements of Visa and the IPSPs.

What you want is someone who is familiar with helping Canadian webmasters/companies set up a legal entity in the US that meets Visa's requirements as well as all US laws - that's adultinternetlaw.com. There's a few other US firms that have the same expertise, but that is the one I am familiar with. I'm quite happy with what they have done for me in this regard. It cost me about 3k US in the end.

I recommend you go with a law firm rather than an incorporation service like corporate.com (unless money is an issue, but you implied it is not, and want it done right). adultinternetlaw.com has many Canadian clients like us.

I hope that helps.

So for about $4500 canadian, I could meet the requirements. hmm, I thought it would be cheaper, but if that's what it costs, I guess I don't really have a choice.

Thanks for your help

I have done that, and I will post this once only.
Questions? ask them.

You can setup up on line for a cost of about $ 450.00, everything needed included. Then there are some options for mail forwarding, phone answering, etc...

ok, now I'm confused again. I see prices and have called a couple of people from $450 to $3000. And the only one that had a lawyer with me through the whole thing was $3000 so I think I'll probably go with this one because it's safer.
