US Health insurance question (kinda urgent)
Hi guys,
Besides my fulltime job and webmaster-porn-thingy I also study parttime in the evenings. Now I need some basic info on US health-insurance to compare. For instance: - is there some kind of basis insurance that everybody by law has? - or maybe is everyone voluntarily insured? - what are the avarage costs of US health-insurance? - when you get sick, need treatment and you are insured, does the insurance normally coveres everything or do you need to pay a part yourself? Help on this is really appreciated so i can write my essay. |

2) many people don't have insurance here. The ones that do get it from work or buy individual policies (and some aren't cheap). 3) It depends upon what type of policy you have. If you pay for crap, you'll get crap. The less you pay per month, the more $$$ you have to fork over if you get sick. I would recommend an HMO if you are in a tight spot financially. I have had 2 surgeries recently that were in excess of 40,000 and didn't pay anything.
