All your posts ever prove is that you put more weight in one biased news agency over another biased news agency.
Get a fucking life. |

Directfiesta is right on. All he is doing is underscoring the principals of PROPAGANDA.
All the above stories are arguably true. 150 or so gathered around the Saddam statue as it was pulled down while thousands protested in America nearby in the streets. The American media chose to ONLY show the 150 person statue photo-op. The foreign mainstream media covered the thousands demonstrating against America. The truth is both sides added together plus a third component which can only be garnered from independent sources. |

"we're going to liberate iraqi's people"

The US does not like that little thing called "democracy" unless they are the ones who install the leaders. The guy they put in charge of Afghanistan, Karzai, is a former Unocal oil executive very cosy with all of Bush's oil cronies. A couple of years back the US practically rejoiced when General Musharaff overthrew the democratically elected leader of Pakistan and installed a US-friendly military dictatorship. You'll never see the US trying to install "democracy" in Pakistan, a country with nuclear weapons that virtually breeds terrorists by the hundreds of thousands. |

I think it's fuckin great. I was actually happy to hear about that. I think in a way it shows that they know the US isn't evil and brutal and won't silence them for saying things we disagree with. They know they have freedom. They know the US gave them that freedom. How could anyone disagree with the chant "no to america. no to saddam."? They don't want to be ruled by a dictator or a foreign power. Good for them and god bless america.

wonton, you must be talking about the u.s. government, not the u.s. people in general. before the war started, cnn stated that out of every ten letters to the white house about war, nine were against. who knows if it's true, but bush said he didn't listen to public opinion on t.v. - a strange attitude for a public servant.
there are a lot of people in the u.s. and most of us don't work for the govenment. |
