So those H2s make it easier to climb 25mph on-ramps? I prefer to take those at 60mph.

No I agree, it looks stupid too.

Most people who have 'pimp' cars I associate with dumbasses, because usually they are ugly, overpriced and slow.

Fletch XXX 04-13-2003 07:14 PM

ive never done anything but leave the rims that come with the vehicle.

never found interest in buying rims or anything like that.

wash it, keep it clean, and maintained, but no add ons.

cools rims look good, but i could never find myself buying any.

i dont see why. but they look cool, theyd prolly get jacked in this fucking city anyway

Nope.

You see Mercedes with chrome 20s look 100x better than one with stock.

I got a buddy of mine hook me up with a shop down in SanDiego.

They sold me 18 chromes, drilled specifically for my bolt patter.

for 1800.

If you ask me thats one hell of a deal.

That includes good tires.

You can put spinners on any rim.

Spinners are basically add ons to rims.

But the smallest you would be able to find is one that will fit 19".

Chrome spinners start @ $2000 just for the spinners.

too pricy for such a small unit

A totaly inaccurate statement. The H2 is built on a very modified Chevy Tahoe chassis, and thats where all similarities with chevy trucks end.

There is very little that the H1 can do that the H2 cant. And in some cases the H2 is even more capable due to better computer assisted traction control, suck as in snow or on ice, or deep mud.

BJ 04-13-2003 10:18 PM

Everyone has an H2 now. They're everywhere

ry0t 04-13-2003 11:33 PM

I could care less what any of you say, my first over 50k ride will be this H2 in black with the chromes spinning. Im 20, yes I like pimped rides. I dont care about going offroad, I'll buy an H1 for that.

you fucks, bitching about what should and should not go on whatever the fuck car - that you don't even own. STFU!

Oh, since we are on the subject of rims....

Anyone know of a rims site that shows what the rims look like while spinning? I mean, stationary is one thing, but its also nice to see how they look in motion.

Turn on the B.E.T channel a program called "Rap City"

Virtually every video has a car with one of those.

Thats probably the only place you'll see em in action.
:thumbsup

kristin 04-14-2003 01:03 AM

If I were to get a Hummer...I would definitely NOT make it look like a PT Cruiser!

BTW: If you were really Canadian...you would lay off that Molson shit and drink Labatt!

I know Rap City, and Im not about to watch that for a 'chance' to see rims in action. Be practical. Im saying, it would be nice if these people who sell rims have some shit to show you how they spin. Im sure in a few shops they may have something like that, but online, they should have vids or some type of proggie that shows the effect,.

You can have a kick ass ride and still be practical at the same time.

as if 90% of hummers ever leave the burbs.

pornJester 04-14-2003 03:26 AM

I'm confused.

What is it exactly that "rims" do?

Or is it all for show... like designer label clothes?

Rex 04-14-2003 07:08 AM

PHAT, you = big pimpin'

The general conception is, Rims (or wheels) look better than tires

So they try to get very large rims and low profile tires to fill up the fender holes

Supposedly, a 20 inch wheel with a 2 inch sidewall tire looks better than a 17 inch wheel with a 5 inch sidewall tire

You can also have wider tires with less sidewall, for greater contact patch with the road, and better handling because you have less sidewall flex in the tire during hard cornering. But nobody here knows how to drive anyway so this is just an appearance issue and not about performance.

grumpy 04-14-2003 08:34 AM

They look cheap under any car except a hotrod. So if you have a hotrod then its oke. Otherwise stay away from them.

do you think they would look ok on a '91 VW black cabriolet? :)

Simon-interaid 04-14-2003 11:15 AM

I guess we'll just have to wait for them to arrive and put them on.

And I will try and post a before and after picture and we can all judge :Graucho :Graucho
