hosting for a mailing list

Are there any companies that will host a mailing for an adult website?

No there anr no stable hosts that are hosting spammers. There is to much heat from providers, but if your doing some mailing somehow, add this to your list

I'm not a spammer. I have an adult website for sex tips and I wanted to start a mailing list.

Any hosting company will host a legit opt-in list.

It takes a lot more than 2 complaints to get shutdown at most places.

An optin list comes with at least IP stamp, time and date for each email. If you have them, the majority of hosting co. will accept you as a client.

I've heard that before about the ip and timestamp but it doesn't make sense. Its easy enough to fake that sort of information if one was inclined to.

if you fake them, youll get more complaints than you should and you'll get shut down.

If you buy an optin list from another this scenario is more than possible. Trusting a 3rd part over this is like playing lotto. If you generate the list alone then you don't have to worry anything. Additionaly in order to make sure you'll avoid the idiots who will put the emails of people that hate, you go for a double optin list.

So again it comes down to complaint volume, not ip's and timestamps.

That is exactly true, and is why soul is wrong. The major bandwidth providers are not tolerating spam as much as they used to. Also their are many many states adopting anti spam laws and enforcing them more then in the past. Spam will never completely go away, but it is definately getting much harder to get away with.

not exactly

the point is that if you follow the pattern:

doubleoptin/IP/date/time and you generate them alone you shouldn't get complaints and even if you get some, your host won't shut you down.

I will agree to your points about having better quality lists, time stamps and even working remove option. But really all of that is worthless. Hosts are now getting so much heat from their providers, that it just is not worth getting ip blocks shut off just for some idiot 29.95 a month spammer.

Exactly, the guy just changed his point, it still comes down to complaints. I mean shit, I have ip and time stamps for paysite members, that doesn't mean they opted in to get my e-mails.

Anyone who thinks a fucking double opt in newsletter isn't going to get a bunch of complaints when you have a million subscibers, you're nuts.

That's why you have to host overseas.

Actually I dont give a rats ass if you call it double opt in, or whatever....that doesnt matter 1 tiny bit. What matters is the complaints that come in from the mailings.....Thats is all that matters period............

If 50 complaints come in from a mailing, the providers dont care if that list was a "Double opt in" or a harvested list from a chat room. A complaint is a complaint period!!!

oh well as you wish, host abroad with Kevlar your double optin list.

NetRodent ask BigG regarding optin mailings if you are interested for your company. He has a good experience on this and you'll see from first hand. :-)
