Yes California! #Calexit (Independence Referendum)
What you think about that? Good, bad or ...?
The 2019 #Calexit Independence Referendum In the Spring of 2019, Californians will go to the polls in a historic vote to decide by referendum if California should exit the Union, a #Calexit vote. You will have this historic opportunity because the Yes California Independence Campaign will qualify a citizen?s initiative for the 2018 ballot that if passed would call for a special election for Californians to vote for or against the independence of California from the United States. This is a very important question. It is the responsibility of this campaign to explain what a yes vote will mean for you, your family, your community, our state, our country, and our world. We have designed this website to answer many of these questions and look to you to ask more. "As the sixth largest economy in the world, California is more economically powerful than France and has a population larger than Poland. Point by point, California compares and competes with countries, not just the 49 other states.? In our view, the United States of America represents so many things that conflict with Californian values, and our continued statehood means California will continue subsidizing the other states to our own detriment, and to the detriment of our children. Although charity is part of our culture, when you consider that California?s infrastructure is falling apart, our public schools are ranked among the worst in the entire country, we have the highest number of homeless persons living without shelter and other basic necessities, poverty rates remain high, income inequality continues to expand, and we must often borrow money from the future to provide services for today, now is not the time for charity. However, this independence referendum is about more than California subsidizing other states of this country. It is about the right to self-determination and the concept of voluntary association, both of which are supported by constitutional and international law. It is about California taking its place in the world, standing as an equal among nations. We believe in two fundamental truths: (1) California exerts a positive influence on the rest of the world, and (2) California could do more good as an independent country than it is able to do as just a U.S. state. In 2016, the United Kingdom voted to leave the international community with their ?Brexit? vote. Our ?Calexit? referendum is about California joining the international community. You have a big decision to make. ![]() |

The war officially ended with the February 2, 1848, signing in Mexico of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. The treaty added an additional 525,000 square miles to United States territory, including the land that makes up all or parts of present-day Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo - Facts & Summary - HISTORY.com California, as a stand alone nation, is the 8th largest economy is the world. California will not be allowed to succeed from the United States. Maybe if California, Oregon and Washington state succeed as a confederacy -- be there done that ... Libbieland the 5th greatest nation on earth. |

jeez - again??? This has been going on since 1941 in California and Oregon - Every few years they have a new tide of people that want to form a separate state or secede - search the State of Jefferson to educate yourselves
![]() Russia would love it if the whole state really did this - they would annex it in a heartbeat - of course the guy organizing Calexit lives in Russia - search for Louis Marinelli |

Let them do it so Trump can build a wall around the state and charge a 20% tariff for every movie exported.

Not sure why everyone always equates Calif with liberals - Im sure that some of the big cities lean that way - but the rest of Calif is more redneck than what I saw living in Mississippi - weekends they spend out on the riverbeds testing bombmaking skills and shooting off tons of guns...just my personal observations when I lived there

just a hypotetic question again:
and when other states want do the same ? SEE where you end up???? first you hate chinese, than mexicans and now you start to hate americans from california when are you done? when YOU ARE AMERICA? sorry there is already another hair model fighting for that. do you really not see what marionette you are? you do exactly what us enemies expected when they helped your daddy to win. thatīs by the way the US strategy against the moslems. one day the make the sunits stronger and the other day the shihites. and now they doing it the same way with you greetings thommy |

Not sure why someone didn't think of this earlier, oh wait, they did. Take power from the Federal government and give it to the states. That way states can govern how their citizens want, not some one size fits all, some benefit some get screwed kind of system we have now.

The rural and eastern parts of California would secede as well.
Maybe only the coastal and more urbanized parts of Cali would do #calexit Interestingly enough, the POVERTY rate in those areas are quite high. So is the GINI coefficient regarding WEALTH DISPARITY.

Oh good. Finally we can cut that perpetually bankrupt, piece of shit economic black hole loose. People with money, companies and jobs have been flooding out of CA anyway for over a decade, so its win / win for the rest of the nation.
Self entitled, emotionally driven, participation trophy loving liberals can tax themselves into oblivion and the rest of the nation can wall it off to keep a bunch of whining, sanctuary city having, over-regulated, high tax loving people out and the rest of the nation can focus on creating jobs, rather than destroying jobs through idiotic policy. A state so naive and stupid as a whole that Enron could just shut off the power intermittently and make billions and it took them a very long time to even figure out what was going on.... much less, stop them.
