Paxum is 100% Certifiably RACIST!

I have two friends of mine who tried to open personal paxum accounts not too long ago.

One individual was white, the other individual was black.

The white individual got approved for his personal paxum account in under 24hrs.
"Welcome to paxum!"

The black individual was advised to open a company account, as they did not feel the person fit the personal account requirements.

The kicker, the two individuals entered the same exact info, from the same exact city (both Canadian Citizens) with the same exact documents submitted for paxum's approval.

The white person, instant approval, no issues, no questions asked. The black individual, was rejected for a personal account and told to submit for a company account.

After the black individual appealed their decision, they started to ask a ton of going-in-circle questions, with seemingly no intent to ever approve their account. The account, btw, still not approved for the black individual, they have now requested they apply to all the companies they intend to receive funds from, and then send the paxum emails of those companies, followed by returning for verification only once they are ready to withdraw their funds from paxum.

This is 100000% discrimination and EXPLICIT racism from Paxum. A white individual instantly approved without even batting an eye or asking a question, a black individual instantly rejected and then forced to jump through hoops for weeks only to have no approval in sight.

I really hope someone from Paxum can come and clarify why a white individual is able to receive instant approval and a black individual is told to submit for a company account, and then when appealing made to answer grilling questions, that couldn't possibly be answered.

If this is not explicit and obvious racism, I don't know what is!

They (EMI) will run the name through some background check DB. If there's any previous (bad) history, personal account will be rejected. It's different for corporate entities, however, so he may be able to obtain an account through an LLC.

If only the white person wasn't an ex-con who has been removed from 3 banks in the last 2 years, and the black individual had a pretty impeccable credit history.

But ya, the background check paxum runs would've spotted that, clearly!

I, personally, cannot file it, as it has not happened to me, but I will recommend he does file a lawsuit.

(Although he lives in Canada, and I do not think their offices are in Montreal anymore, so not sure how that would work. Im not a lawyer, so I don't know how cross-border jurisdictions work, but that is good advice, thank you.)

I did leave it out, as I do not think it needed to be said, as the matter was, literally, black and white. Two individuals whose only difference was skin colour get treated differently.
But then some guy who probably gets paid by paxum to be supportive of them, and then you who probably also gets some paxum dollars to post nice things about them, decided to insert doubt into it, so I gave more info on the matter.
But, the reality of it is, that the treatment was clearly biased by paxum.

Sorry but did they have to supply a photo of themselves or check a box if black or white?

Also who submitted 1st? if the "white" guy did it first then there is overlap and flags are raised. In addition to what was said - who's information was it - the white guys? having the same info cross over does look like fraud so of course they'll going to ask the 2nd who submitted.

They both had to submit photo IDs and do a facial scan to prove their identity.

The white person did submit first, there was a couple of months' discrepancy between their applying and the black person applying.

They don't work together, it is just mutual friends of mine, and I found it extremely bizarre they way the black person was being handled vs the white person.

I know a ton of people who use paxum regularly, and this is the only time I have seen someone apply for a personal account get this type of grilling.

for companies, I have seen this type of questioning, and I am not saying that the questions are wrong, I am saying the treatment of the individuals looked discriminatory. No one that I know that uses paxum has ever been given this type of questioning when applying for a personal account.

dunno where your friend is at, posted the above cuz TO was my hometown and I know the stuff there. if not in Ontario, the centre can help direct him/her to a service in their province

cannot overstate the need for your friend to have all the documentation to prove the allegations. ducks in order, even though ducks aren't actually well behaved IRL. you know what I mean though. no documentation, no proof

Ok - so why then would you create two accounts virtually the same? and did it ever occure to you that the fraud department would have noticed anything if the application matched someone else?

I suggest try it again except this time have the black person go first then the white second and see if the same thing happens. Also Passport - ID etc. seriously their system picks up matching ones for just this sistuation - called Fraud. Even if a black guy went into a bank - got a loan then a white guy using the same paperwork - the white guy would get flags and likely be jailed for::
