how many times does your server go down per year?mine goes down 3 times/year,just like clock work.
is it time to switch to a new one? |

At average my server was gone down about 4 times/year and during 15-20 min. I think it a normal fact.

Mine's never actually gone down once, but I do think it's a bit overpriced. . .
(over 3 years) Then again, I'm new here. I dunno. |

If you're having frequent problems with reboots, it's time to invest in some detective work on what's causing the machine to fall over. However, good hardware running FreeBSD and solid programs should leave you with uptimes like that. Last time that machine was down it was for a new UPS. I love FreeBSD.

my cologroup server was down for 2 hours once, my webair server has been hummin pretty for over 2 years now.... my other webair server, which is new, been hummin for a month str8 now

If you're not going down atleast 2-3 times a year, then you're
leaving yourself open to known attacks. Patch that baby and reboot it. Crash wise, shouldn't ever happen... switch to an OS ment for use as a server. |
