You joined the armed forces!

They don't take really intelligent people. It'd be such a waste. You need to sacrifice the shallow end of the gene pool in war!

The military has many intelligent people, particularly in the Officer Corp and many of them have multiple degrees. Career enlisted ranks also have many intelligent people and Senior NCO's have a minimum of an Associate Degree or equivilent units and many have bachelor as well as graduate degrees. Career soldiers are soldiers by choice. I am a conformist in the sense that my gandfather was a career soldier, my real father was a career soldier, my mentor was a career soldier and I chose to be a career soldier though my career was cut short by the 1st Gulf War. I don't regret the decision, though I do regret the results. As a soldier I had my own thoughts about world events and our government but as a career soldier I took an oath multiple times, something that most people do not have to do in their line of work/career and I took my oath seriously so I was a "gung ho, can do type", but I too consider myself to be a free thinker.

On the other hand you are just a troll, nothing more than a troll.
