photoshop question
I am wanting to write some text over a image, but I am wanting the text to be "transparent' so all you see is the outline of the text, how can I do this?
Thanks |

Type out your text.
Right Click on the text layer and rasterize it. Then ctrl+click on the text layer to select it. Create a new layer, with the text still selected go to edit:stroke to stroke the selection. Select the stroke color, Location: Center. Click Ok. Then deselect by pressing ctrl+D. Delete the original text layer and you should be set. |

Well i did that with with 2 layers, a 3-d font layer and just a regular rectangular image layer. Then adjust the opacity down to the desired level by double clicking each individual layer in your layers pallete and using like a 30% opacity I believe. Sounds harder than it is. If you can't get it jlmk. Cheers, BV |
