Time for a monthly review for May 2016:



I started promoting Chaturbate on May 1/16 so it works out well when looking at my first full month of promotions.


Summary:
I am encouraged at the rate of sign-ups in my first month considering I never promoted cams before and it was nice to see my first sale of tokens come in. I see alot of untapped opportunities that I aim to take advantage of.


Work done in May:
- tackled the chaturbate API and now have it feeding into a database.
- created a few twitter accts and started following a ton of cam-related twitter accts
- did alot of SEO work for PornHero.com



In June I want to:

- double my average signups a day from 2.5 to 5 signups/day.

- hit 10 sign ups in one day. I hit 6 in a day a few times in May. I should be able to hit 10 in one day within the next 30 days!

- Launch my first "brand" promoting cams.



5 signups/day in June should be achievable if I:

- start buying domain names and launching sites/brands for popular cam niches

- continue to launch twitter accts for specific niches and setup automatic tweets.

- start adding niche-specific cam links on my existing network of sites/pages that promote traditional paysites.



All things considered, a great first month promoting Chaturbate!



I'm about to buy my first cam-related domain name for a project that fills a need that I am seeing... I will let you know when it's ready!

remember, chaturbate starts slow, but once ppl get used to the system and see others spending money on the models, they will start spending too.. it takes from a week to a month for the new members to start spending some cash..

Yes, I've heard it takes time for signups to start buying tokens so I'm being very patient.

I've been promoting Chaturbate for a month now so I am interested to see how June ends.

I will hit 100 signups total in the next couple days.

YES! I got my first sale today! $20.99! I don't have many registers so its a good start. It was one of my first registers that did it's first token payments. (over a month later).

I think the broadcaster signup was pure luck, I haven't been promoting that angle at all. Not sure where they came from as I now have search engine traffic, traffic from my network and twitter traffic.

What would be really nice is if that broadcaster starts using their affiliate link to register free signups themselves so that I can earn 5% on those token sales

Today I will hit my first 100 signups on my account over all.

Chaturbate stats are showing up fishy today. 10 minutes ago, I had 635 hits for the day. I just hit "stats" again and the number mysteriously dropped to 614. Any clue what the hell might cause this?

Chatutbate is my slowest growing earner, but getting first spends from people registering a year ago is a good sign. Seems we just need some patience. At least getting paid every month now.

I havent noticed any fishy stats in the last month.

I'm seeing good results from both but I'm starting to favour pushing traffic to PornHero from twitter instead of directly to the chaturbate site.

I am going for bookmarkers, building a brand and hopefully links back (which would help SEO) so the best longterm strategy is sending traffic to my own domain.

I can also target the twitter traffic to specific niche landing pages on PornHero which I think helps.

Chaturbate's been crashing a lot in the past few days. Whitelabels and stats both go down and models complaining about "lag and crashing".

Chaturbate has to get their shit in one bag or they will start to loose visitors and models.
My traffic stats are down almost 50% for the day as a result.

yes, I've noticed the site has been having performance issues yesterday and today.

Is this a common occurrence with the Chaturbate site?

I haven't seen a decrease in hits but I see that my signups / conversion ratios have decreased substantially during the same timeframe.

Hopefully it bounces back to normal soon.

Love the checks from Chaturbate but people shouldn't put their eggs in one basket. When sites like these (MySpace etc...) loose favor, someone else will be eager to pickup all their lost traffic.

Careful not to tie your brand to one affiliate program...

Agreed, cams as a general rule are a good business but I don't want to tie my wagon to one star.

I've just started promoting cams so I'm hitting chaturbate hard but I certainly have my eye on the other cam companies to expand into when it's time.

After AdultCheck shutdown all those years ago I learned not to trust having 100% of my revenue with 1 company.

Ive seen other people's chaturbate stats that do this sometimes so I am hanging in there.

I haven't changed anything as far as PornHero.com ... actually my google traffic is up the past 2 days.

The only difference I can think of is that I haven't created any new tweets the past couple days but that shouldn't make such a drastic difference in my results. Ive been working on following more people so still getting lots of twitter traffic.

Just have to keep building my traffic/clicks and wait out the storm...

Well the nice thing is I got a $20.99 sale of tokens this morning, sweet!

People were right when they said it takes 30-40 days for the sales to kick in. Today is my 40th day since my first signup

Actually just looked at the transaction log and this morning's token sale came in from a member that signed up 5 days ago on June 5th, from Australia. I love the concept of making commissions from sales all over the world!

Now if only my signups would bounce back...

just wondering if you are seeing any anomalies in your stats the past few days?

What do you think about the dropoff in conversion ratio in my stats?

Is that a common occurrence when promoting cams or do you think there must be an issue? I hope I didnt screw up my linkcodes somehow. I will doublecheck my linkcodes today.

Should I just keep going and be confident the sign ups will bounce back?
