Now that Quintin Tarantino's main film editor has died, nothing short of her rising from the dead could save this horrible long winded disaster of a film, Hateful Eight.

I'm a QT fan, don't get me wrong, but QT has lost it.

3 hours of nothing, toss in a some blood and some body parts being shot up and there it is.

No story, no story and no story. Oh, and ONE un original editing time line trick, ooohhh...... let's go back in time one day and see how we got to where we are. What a joke. Like that one cut would save the film?

AND one more insanely dumb moment, in the middle of the film, for no reason at all, QT does a voice over??? WHAT THE FUCK??? He doesn't represent a character in the film and the voice over in the middle of the film for 1 minute and makes no fucking sense at all. I thought later QT would pop in revealing "who" was doing the voice over, but nope. Then about another hour into the film, there is another 1 minute worth of voice over. Beyond lame and meaningless.

I couldn't believe it was a QT film?

And this piece of shit won a Golden Globe for best screenplay??

It had a few moments, and some snazzy dialogue, but Best Screenplay? Doesn't a screenplay need an original storyline?? Not something stolen from a "who dunnit" movie?

He spent more time and thought on the camera shots and mountain shots. Who gives a rats ass about mountains and horses, I want to see an original feature film.

This was one of the worst QT films ever made. He even stole his "Chapter 1" title cards from Kill Bill series.

It's almost as if nobody knew how to edit film and just tried to mimic Kill Bill. But grossly failed.

I think QT has eaten way too many ding dongs and the fat is now clogging up his brain.

I hope he can pull his head out of his ass and do one more solid creative film, otherwise, I think he has peaked.

Oh, one last thought, QT just loves to use the "N" word any chance he gets, but come on already, the entire movie is riddled with the "N" word. It's being said every 3-4 minutes. After watching people yell "N" for 3 hours, it gets quite sickening.

QT must've been beaten up by some black dude when he was a loser teenager because he just can't seem to do a film now without calling black people "N." His movies are turning into his own personal therapy. But hello, what about the audience?

ok i love your comment about his editor, but to be fair, he has never had an editor post reservoir dogs. every one of his movies would be epic features if he cut 45 mins out and as they sit they are mostly long drawn out story lines with hints at brilliance. I did like this movie more than his last 3 or 4 i guess.. but yeah... too damn long and full of bullshit scenes that don't need to be there.

the film looks great, stage lighting on the set looks kinda' odd to the trained eye... the anamorphic lens slip was funny though, the gag with the door was played out for me before the first incident was even over, seriously? that's the best writing you have? screen time is so expensive and the best creative concept available is a slapstick routine with a door in a western??? and the dialog is just plain creepy...

I have no people in my life that speak like the dialog in the film and I avoid anyone that does... and I'm not sure what you find so appealing about racial vulgarities.

I thought it was a great movie. Better than alot of his other movies.

Only thing out of place and horribly annoying was that blonde australian actress, but her role was only a couple of minutes.

Liked it. He needs to stop using the Australian chick though. Just because she's a good stunt woman doesn't mean he should be giving her acting roles. She probably let's him suck on her feet or something.

When I read the plot i nixed the idea of seeing it. I am really, really SICK of just about every fucking movie having nothing but blood, guts, guns and explosions.

So as Tarantino explained it: "Get a bunch of people in a room locked together during a snowstorm and see what happens."

I stopped reading right there and blurted out: "Everybody dies, right?" Yup.

If I can figure out how a movie is going to go just from reading a short synopsis then it's a horrible fucking movie.

'N' word and guns and BLAM BLAM BLAM. Yeah, QT is a genius. He's nothing more than a poor white trash 'N' word-wannabe geek one-trick pony. Seriously, are there ANY QT movies where people aren't maimed, killed or worse?

Michael Bay is almost better than him. At least he doesn't pretend to be 'brilliant' and admits his explosion-filled garbarge is rubbish for the masses. Buh bye QT.

it was ok, not the worst film I've seen by any means. I wouldn't watch it again, which is my personal benchmark of whether I find a film good (or bad) or great, but yeah, if you haven't seen it, it's worth watching.

I think most people forget that a film can be about escapism, or enjoyment, without it needing to be some genius masterpiece with a clever twist, or a deep message. Go in with the idea it's a few hours of entertainment, and you'll be much more likely to enjoy it than thinking every film, QT or not, needs to be some revolutionary epic masterpiece of perfection.

ps nobody gives a fuck if you or I enjoyed any film, because newsflash, we all experience a different movie... I think gone with the wind, wizard of oz, and numerous other 'all time great' films are bags of shit and can't sit through them at all... doesn't make the film(s) bad, just makes them not to my taste.
